Uneven narration, but otherwise a fun read

Overall I liked this book. I did find it confusing for the first few chapters because as a listener I couldn't 'see' the structure of the writing and how the rhythm of the story is laid out. But I soon figured it out. It's a modern romance, which in all honesty, isn't my favorite type but I did want to know how it ended, so listening wasn't a chore. The reason for my rating is the uneven quality of the narration. The male narrator does a great job of being the characters--all of them, even Bug. The female narrator comes across as sometimes very flat, with few vocal differences between the main and supporting characters. I think the difference is she reads the text, he acts the text.

If you're looking for a fun, easy listen, this fits the bill. It's about a deep as a small puddle, but it's an enjoyable way to spend a few hours.
