gripping

I was looking for werewolf stories and stumbled on this by accident, because it's written by wolf and not a werewolf story. so glad I did!!! I couldn't put it down. I had to know her story. it felt like I was listening to her diary much of the time and I felt for the heroine. it felt real. I sent it to my daughter as well. it's three books and you should read all three which are equally gripping. You did well with this Ms Wolf!!!

nice story line

i struggled to finish this Audible, story line is good. its just why does the girl have to be so annoying, high school girls are not that bad. i think if she was different i would have giving it 2 thumbs up.

I thought romantic books weren't for me but my God this one is! Definitely a book I recommend. 10/10

“Gripping” kind of story!

This is my first time reading a book by Sara Wolf. This book was published years ago but it’s still popular to read. I am into YA books and I have to say, it’s pretty good. I didn’t think I would like Isis because she is a weird cookie but something about her that you do start liking her...a lot. The more and more you get to know her, the more and more why she is the way she is. You start to accept that about her. Let’s just say she is a bit eccentric but very self-conscious due to her past, & quite caring. Yes, she is different from all the others, she stands out but such in a good way, good perceptive for me. Jack seems quite a wise cracker, too handsome, and tough kind of boy that you can’t deny how cool he really is. From all the ice, there is a heart etching out. Both broken people see each other’s goodness, each other’s light. It’s probably why it’s a lot of 4 or 5 stars scoring! Soon enough, you do like all the characters, Jack, Kayla, Wren, Sophia, & even a bit of Avery. THE ENDING IS THE BEST TWIST!

I got sucked into this, though sometimes I found the lead female annoying, but it was a fun read

This was a good listen. My title is a direct quote from the book. The narrator did a good job and I liked the story line. It's a dark teenage romance, but also funny. I am not the targeted demographic for this book ( I'm much older) but I'm a sucker for any romance novel. I really enjoyed it.

Loved

I was annoyed with Isis at the beginning before I started understanding her. She went through a lot that made up who she was. Sometimes someone is not at all what they seem on the outside and that goes for both MC's. Isis was deeply broken and the enemy she hates ends up being the one thing that distracts her. This is my second read and I loved it just as much as the first time.

This definately kept me entertained. Isis is annoying, obnoxious and cracks me up a little. Love Jack & Ren
The book is different. There's a lot of complex situations. Most of it is about Isis and Jack's back and forth shenanigans but it was irritatingly entertaining

Cliffhanger but worth it!

Such an intense, compelling ride! Loved this narrator, she was perfect for Isis. I wish there wasn't as much swearing in this book but I have few complaints beyond that. The romantic tension and the slowly unfolding story were perfect. So glad I could immediately start listening to the next book after the cliffhanger ending of this one! I need to know that Isis and Jack end up happily ever after, they are perfection.

Messed up but good!

I got a kick out of ISIS and her sense of humor, but it was very dark and messed up too... like myself, I guess.
Her relationship with Jack was a twisted and entertaining at the same time and kept me stuck wanting more! If kids really live like this then it is a tough world out there.

Can't wait for book 2!!
