Old fashioned marriage ideas

I’m not sure what I just listened to, but it was entertaining. I learned more about Joe Gorga’s sex life than I ever wanted or needed to know. Their marriage sounds volatile and she sounds terrified of him cheating, but I did like the importance of the values of respect and family.

Actions Speak Louder than words

First of all, I was very disappointed that Melissa didn't narrate this herself. It just didn't start off the book on the right note. I found the information in the book generic. I've seen the Real Housewives of NJ and I think that Melissa painted her life better than it actually is in this book based off her and Joe's actions in the show. I don't recommend this book

it started nice

like many, RHONJ is a guilty pleasure of mine. The Gorgas are of course my favorite cast members. I think this book started off very relatable and even helpful to some, in so many ways.
Toward the end however, I couldn't help but to laugh at some points, and find some of their comments/guidance downright dangerous. It was a good read but Dear God PLEASE add in some kind of disclaimer that sometimes your wife is going to say no and you need to respect that.

Can't agree with her views!

Although I tried to understand her ideas in the context of the book she was writing, I struggled to agree or even think she was setting a positive example. I am an Italian, Catholic, and soon-to-be-wife, so I thought I would identify with Melissa. However, I just think her life is too old-fashioned. I struggled to get through this book.

Melissa should've been the narrator. Narrator was

horrible. The Joe part was a joke with that lady doing his voice Im going to return it.

What did I just listen to???

I'm a fan of RHONJ and read some mixed reviews about this book. I thought I would give it a try. omg. I can't believe what I just read.

Some aspects were ok....like having a give and take in your marriage. Ok, I'm on board with that. However, most of the book read like she just gives into Joe all the time and that's the expectation. He literally said in one part of the book that all women like to be dominated...and if your wife says no just rip her clothes off. Umm...excuse me?
