Worth the listen

Starts out with a bit of a Stephen King vibe and then turns a complete different direction. Strong characters all the way through. I like that you get more than just one view of the main character’s madness.

I listen to Louie's Well through Amazon on Audible tonight. It started at 7 PM this evening and it was a book, an audible narrated incredibly. You start reading and listening to this thriller, and you can't put it down or turn it off. At 2 AM this Audible book ended. I stayed intrigued through the whole time.
This story is very well written with such a different view of energy, beyond this world of snail like, after life, thread monsters, that understand quantum physics entanglement, use it, which made the thread monsters even a harder enemy to fight from another perspective of other realms, by humans, imaginary memories, with nature, from the unknown. The human contact, personal struggles, mental health issues, imaginary thoughts, and loss, is brought to life through the writer and narrator.
This is a dark psychological thriller, with search of yippy strings in a fiction realm, or is it? Another's perspective of the unknown.
I recommend this Audible book "Louie's Well" highly, and a salute to the narrator, as this was suspenseful, intriguing through the entire non stop story.

This is a deep and intense psychological thriller/horror story. It’s a darker story that pulled at my emotions, with a very raw and touching storyline.

Louie has led a difficult life, as he has struggled with his weight. His size has led him to become isolated and lonely. He lives on his families land by himself. One day his life is turned upside down when he hears a voice calling to him from the bottom of the well on the family land. This voice calling to him is his brother Ben. The problem is that Ben died when they were kids. Ben talks to Louie and tells him how much fun he’s having in the tunnels and underground. Louie is tired of being bullied and made fun of, so he’s ready to make some major changes.
What really lies within that well?

This is my first book from this author and I think it is excellent! The character development is good and the imagery is very detailed. I was lucky to get to listen to the audio and the narrator did a fantastic job. It’s a very engaging story and I didn’t want to stop reading!

WELL...It's deeper than it seems.

I love a good indie horror novel, so I was excited to give this a listen.

Narration: I really enjoyed the narrator. I'm impressed with the change in accent, tone, and emotion depending on the character and situation. The megaphone effects were magnificent (listen and you'll know what I mean). I'm really looking forward to more of this narrator's work.

Novel: Definitely went into this without knowing much about the book, and I think that made it even more enjoyable. This went in different directions than I was expecting. The underlying message of the book is quite sad, but that doesn't detract from the story. It reads like a splatterpunk without being overly gory. Overall I enjoyed it. I'll be checking out more of this author's works.
