Publisher's Summary

I've been clean for years. But now my addiction has a face. Her face....

At 18, I stood at the precipice of stardom. I had the record deal. And the tour to back it up. But I succumbed to the pressure of that life. The dark side.

Now, I skate on the fringe. My brother is the genius guitarist for the band Caged, and I’m the one who helped make that happen. I’m happy to run my bars and my land development company.

Sure I am.

And then I meet her - Taryn Ayers - the music manager behind the three biggest bands in the country. She doesn’t know I’m Cam’s older brother. Or that I’ve got a secret that makes her world and mine fundamentally incompatible. Problem is, I want to know Taryn. I crave her as much as any drug.

But can I risk letting her know me?

Lost for You is a standalone new adult romance. Intended for mature audiences due to hot as sin rock stars and the world they live in.

Please note: This audiobook contains instances of drug use.

Chase... And That Cover!

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Another winner by Jayne Frost. Although I wasn’t drawn in as deep as I was with Book 3, Missing From Me, I think the reality of Chase’s drug addiction and the pain and time lost in it’s aftermath and Taryn's survivor’s guilt and the pain in losing loved ones, puts this book on top. It hits real because it IS as easy as one hit to start all over again and it ISN’T easy to get over death. Hell, my cat died over a year ago and I’m still crying! But I love the strength in Chase and the trust in Taryn.

Jacob Morgan and Elena Wolfe do another excellent job.

Enthusiastic TWO THUMBS UP!

Excellent Contemporary Romance!

Lost For You is the fourth book in the Sixth Street Band Series. Jayne Frost is an outstanding writer and you can’t go wrong with this great series. The story is unique and sucked me in from the beginning. You might not want to start reading too late in the day because it is hard to put it down and you might be up half of the night reading!

Narration is outstanding and brought the story to life.

The main characters are well developed and you can’t help but fall in love with them, specially Chase! It was a rollercoaster ride with some ups and downs until towards the conclusion where we finally get a sweet HEA.

There are several great secondary characters that I hope will get their own HEA in the next books! I’m looking forward to the next book in this great series!

One of the BEST audiobooks I've heard!

Oh… my… word! This is one of the BEST audiobooks ever! These characters are REAL, they are HARD, they are seriously IMPERFECT. They make so many mistakes and fumble so hard in life but that’s what makes it so relatable!! Jayne Frost takes on addiction like she has firsthand knowledge. It touched me… not just the storyline but the realness.

Gahhhh!!! Lost for You had my heart whipping all around... just unable to keep up! Jayne Frost out-did herself with this story. I can’t help but seriously fall for Chase. He’s so honest and upfront. Taryn doesn’t stand a chance! But someone’s keeping secrets... or making lies of omissions. Naughty, naughty! Factor in Becket, who I wanted to backhand at one time... yeah, you know the scene!! Plus Harper! Ms. Frost has built these wonderful characters and she really gets you feeling this deepness for them. I know, I’m seriously insane but these characters are fabulous! Her writing is compulsive and once I start an audiobook with her name on the cover, well I canNOT stop! This could be a problem when I run out of books... no joke! Write faster but keep this level of creativity, of uniqueness! It’s a golden combination.

"Things that happened during the night have a way of finding their way into the light"… quote by Chase may be missing a few words here or there but you get the gist of it. This quote just rocketed to my heart with a dagger. It’s killer!

The narrators, Elena Wolfe and Jacob Morgan were enchanting. I love Elena Wolfe’s voice… how she can go from angry to sexy to southern belle in the snap of the fingers. I could listen to her all day long. Now, I’ve enjoyed Jacob Morgan’s previous narrations. He’s been good… he really showed his true talent in this audiobook. He gave me chills… not even kidding. I FELT his words right into my heart! Seriously, this was some of the BEST narration I have ever heard… not even inflating this a bit… so… darn… good!

“Tomorrow’s not promised, baby. It’s a gift..."

4.5 STARS

When I listened to Missing From Me by Jayne Frost I knew I was on to something. With Lost For You this author has established herself as an auto-read for me. Her storytelling has an easy, effortless flow, an easy rhythm that is so super-easy to get into.

I think the allure of Rockstar Romances, at least to me, is that the demigods we think they are, are being portrayed in an entirely human light. They have their fears and sorrows when you strip away their fame. It's just that more people are watching their struggles. Anyhoo, I digress.

Chase is the brother of a rockstar. He had his chance at fame and the limelight but found, with the way he is wired, he isn't built for the business. He loves music and his talent even exceeds his little brother's but his drug abuse in those earlier years is still making sure that his demons keep him on his toes. He finds it easier to deal with his addiction when he stays out of the spotlight. When he meets Tarryn Ayers, one of the most successful managers in the business, he doesn't know how much of a challenge his demons will put him up to.

Tarryn Ayers has her own monsters to battle. Two of her childhood friends and members of one of the most successful bands in the country died in an accident and left her and her best friend Tori Grayson reeling for years to come. Add to that her ex, whose sexual escapades make headlines on a regular basis and she's just about had enough. When Chase invites her to his bar for a drink she has every intention to keep it casual, Beckett's betrayal still hurts too much.

Tarryn is a dichotomoy of strong and vulnerable - she's a tough business woman, proud and strong, but filled with so much sorrow. When her veneer slips we see how deeply the grief still controls many of her actions. You can't help but feel compassion and admiration for Tarryn.

From Chase's charming, straight forward and sweet demeanor you wouldn't guess at the struggles he is dealing with every single day. He hides it really well but when things get a little too overwhelming for this tough business man and he's exposed to the one temptation that he knows he has to fight he's helpless. I found myself shouting "no" and don't do it" a couple of times. My heart broke for Chase who'd gone so long without drugs and when he clawed his way back to the light I felt nothing but pride for him.

From the moment they meet the connection between Tarryn and Chase is palpable. There is always a sense of dread hanging over them and it hurts when they fall apart. But fear not, this is romance so we get a really sweet Happily Ever After. Chase's making amends, giving Tarryn what she needed made me love him even more.

I loved that Jayne Frost didn't shy away from showing her readers the ugly side of drug usage - she still does it in taste and gently and not for shock value.

Jayne Frost is becoming a solid bet on 4-5 star books so I'll keep putting my money on her. Next up is Logan, who I've had very ambivalent feelings toward. This is the second time he rubbed me the wrong way yet came through in the end so I am excited to see what he's really like.

Lost for Chase

Listening to the scrumptious voices of Ms. Wolfe and Mr. Morgan narrating this story I enjoyed myself immensely. They matched the perfect voices with the characters, I could feel what the characters felt. Great choice Ms. Frost!

Loved Chase almost from the beginning, he is my fave character so far, flawed as he is. He meets Taryn and she has major issues as well, but they fit somehow. The struggles they go thru, the doubts, the relapses are hard to witness, but with each small win and finally claiming their HEA was worth it. It was also a realistic glimpse in the lives of people with addiction, their struggles, the support of sponsors and meetings. I recommend this story with 5 stars.

Tomorrow is not a Promise

I really loved this book for rising above the tragedy and all of the insightful viewpoints. The story was so well woven and had endearing characters. I loved the quote that "tomorrow is not a promise but a gift". The ability to overcome addictions is huge. The emotions in this story were so spot on from survivors guilt, living in the moment, and the need to connect with friends and family. The narration in this book was perfect. The mantra Now is all we have will stick with me. The imagery in this book was fantastic from the streets of Austin to the beaches to the tears. Cudo's to the author for mentioning the wonderful support of AA and sponsors. As a parent of one battling addiction, I thought the author did not glamorize drug abuse but the showed the reality of it and the strong will to overcome it. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. This book is a standalone listen and part of a series with some characters from previous books appearing here as a side note and not focus.

Had this book in my ear all day! Did not disappoint. Loved the narration, and the raw gritty story. Chase, oh, Chase. You are my new book boyfriend. It hurt me to see you go down but I loved to watch you get back up. Taryn is the perfect woman for you! I hope Belle gets her story next!

Beautiful story of finding youself

This is far from your typical rock star romance. This book shows the dark side of what happens when you allow the lifestyle to get the better of you. There are a few triggers in this book so if you have an aversion to drug and alcohol, please proceed with caution.

The narration was absolutely amazing!
