Publisher's summary

'This is not a love story I ever wanted to tell, because I hoped it would just go on and on, and never end. I thought that we'd grow old together. I never wanted it to be a tale.

But here I am, a middle-aged man sitting at the kitchen table as the California light fades, thinking about the coming night and how to get through it. Trying to explain to someone - to anyone - what it was like to live through something extraordinary: an amazing three decades that happened to me. Three decades that are now over.'

In July 2019 Vinnie Jones tragically lost his wife and soulmate Tanya after her six-year battle with cancer. Tanya and Vinnie had shared 27 amazing years and raised a beautiful family together. Her passing was a devastating shock to everyone - and Vinnie found himself struggling to cope.

In this extraordinarily intimate memoir, Vinnie tackles his grief honestly and with heart, sharing warm and colourful stories from the 25 years he spent married to Tanya, and unfiltered accounts of the reality of grief. From the darkest hours to the happiest moments, and everything in between, it is tender and heart-breaking, deeply honest but also full of humour and hope.

Written to honour Tanya's life, Lost Without You is a beautiful and brave story of love and loss. Nothing will take away the pain of Tanya's death, but if in sharing his experiences Vinnie can inspire others in the depths of the unspeakable to find the help they need, then he will have succeeded in the keeping her kind, caring and selfless spirit alive.

❤💙

I lost my husband in 2018 of secondary cancer, he had ocular melanoma, and it spread to his liver 5 years later...he battled for 18 months, he lost his life at 55 years of age . He too was a fighter , still cracking jokes till his last breath. The connection I felt reading this book was like no other ive felt with any other books of Loss , I got it, really got it, every word! All I can add is Vinny Jones, Tanya Jones is with you and extremely proud , her Job is done ❤💙🦢

Beautiful and helpful. Thank you.

Honest & real. Lost the love of my life, Samantha, on 28 April 2020. She was only 48. Vinne"s description of the deep grief you carry around is relentless, stubborn & immovable, & truthfully, doesn't decrease over time.
You struggle every day, learning to live around it. It's enormous impact on your life is earth and heart shattering for ever. The depth of pain you feel every minute of every day is scary, gut-wrenching and unreachable. I am too scared to reach it because I doubt I will come back from it. Samantha and I were best friends for 23 years. Our connection was strong & immovable. We decided to move in together after we both found ourselves single at the same time! We feel deeply in love after 3 months, and then 9 months later she had a massive heart attack in our bedroom and died the same day. Cov19 was at its peak, so I wasn't allowed further than the hospital reception. This killed me. Anyway, the struggle is real, hard and doesn't decrease over time. Thank you Vinnie, you helped me to manage my grief and put it into words. I no longer feel alone knowing that those left behind all go thru the hell. Only those who have lost a loved one understand this relentless pain. It's like nothing else and is sn incomparable experience that stays with you forever. xxx

True love, Heartbreak and Grief

Emotionally narrated by Vinnie Jones. This book about his love for his wife Tanya and finding the positivity in his grief.
What an incredible love story from start to finish. Admittedly, I sobbed through most of it because you can feel the heartache, emotions and strength in Vinnies voice throughout. Well written and definitely one to listen to.

Heartbreaking

A book based on a true life love story was gripped from the first sentence, everybody should feel this kind of love at least once in their lives.

didnt finish this. this book made me want to kill myself. the most boring and depressing book i have ever had the misfortune to start on. from the very outset its all doom and gloom. between the dullset tones and faint tears i could literly feel myife draining away. this is one book i really wish i had never bought!!! dont even bother!
