Fortunately, Jade isn’t alone in this fight. New companions continue to join her as subtle signs point to a sinister force manipulating events behind the scenes. In their quest for answers, Jade and her friends may find more than they bargained for…

DNF weird decisions

Non-specific spoilers ahead. The Mc is rational and decisive yet has some impulsivity issues in combat. Enter the Op BBEGs underling who confronts the Mc and weakens their willpower. The underling manages to accomplish this step of their obviously ultra evil plan. The Mc with weakened willpower manages to incapacitate the underling. Now the Mc has the perfect chance to suck the underling dry of power thereby gaining power and thwarting the evil plan while also saving the MCs life. Instead the Mc with weakened willpower makes the calm and patient choice to question the underling. This despite believing that the underling will soon be free and will then kill the Mc rendering whatever the Mc learns completely useless. How does that make any sense? It doesn't. It is deus ex, out of character, bs to unneccesarily further the chosen plot. Book could have been great for being in the Litrpg genre but it isn't.
