I have read several books by Ms. Kells and enjoyed every single one.  This one is no different,  I loved the story and the narration by Antonio Turner.  He was able to give depth and something to the characters that you don't always get when reading the book.

Aleksei and Deva clicked for me the moment they met and holy wow did they click.  Those intimate moments were incredibly intense and hot.

I loved this book and look forward to listening/reading the rest of this series.

Out of darkness into the light

Deva Landry is hiding from her past. She was rescued from her life as an MC Princess, but now her promise to pay back a favor is due. What it entails though will potentially put her into the clutches of those she ran from. Her job? To get close to one Aleksi Voronov. When things start to heat up between the rival gangs they get thrown together in order to stop an all out war. It's not just their loves on the line, but their hearts as well.

awesome story

This is an author I have enjoyed from the first book of hers I picked up. I was excited to pick up this audible. I enjoyed the narrator’s voice and how they gave life to the characters. With the changing of voice tones, it made the story fun to listen to. This is a story of drama, suspense, mob and gangs, what more could you ask for in a story. The twists and turns had me wanting to know what would happen next. This was an entertaining story that I found to be engaging and the characters were easy to fall in love with. I loved this audible and highly recommend it.

This is a full length novel. Set around MC's, gangs, romance and family drama. The suspense will be your biggest reward. Not for those under 18 due to violence and adult themes.

Deva Landry has escaped her princess life, and her MC family as well. She has escaped an unwanted marriage, and now there is a price on her head. She must keep her head about her and keep low. Trouble comes when she is asked to take care of Aleksei, an underground fighter. That is where she could be in danger. Can she protect Aleksei as well as herself in this story? Will she survive the fight of her life?

India Kells you have done it again! Well wrote and loaded with twists and turns. Just when I felt it was safe to set the book down, you drop in chaos. So therefore I stayed up all night, with this page turner. I love the characters and admire the strength Deva holds. I can't wait to start the next book in this series. Well Done India Kells! Well Done!!

Another heart stopping installment

Kells is an extremely skilled author, particularly when it comes to romantic suspense. This installment didn’t disappoint. And the narration was spot on. It took the action and emotion to a whole new level. Loved it.

COMPELLING, UNIQUE, SEXY & ENTERTAINING

And pretty soon after first contact with possessive Aleksei, Deva’s neck-deep in trouble and heading for danger.. she’s making dangerous alliances and deadly enemies within the Bratva, Mafia, MC gangs and the dark underworld.. she’s in bed with a Russian lover with secrets.. and she’s going to fight for their future.

A new world of the Dark Sparrows and the Lost Bastards.. it’s suspenseful, entertaining, angsty, steamy and passion-filled. It’s a well-written introduction to a fresh new series that’s sure to go on to thrill, temp and tease the listener with revelations, twists and turns and well-matched heroes and heroines as was in this one. Deva is a fierce, feisty, intelligent heroine but she’s got a sweeter feminine side too.. especially when it comes out to play with Aleksei’s alpha dirty side. There’s depth, layers and action.. but sorry I just didn’t love the narration being done by a male despite the whole storyline being from Deva’s POV.. so hopefully the next book will be dual POV. Antonio Turner however did do a decent job.

Worth a credit? Yes and I’m looking forward to Dark Sparrow Zoe’s story and her Lost Bastard Archer.

This one has everything!

This is the 1st book in the series. This is an audio book and is just over 9 hours listening time. This is written by India Kells and narrated by Antonio Turner. This story follows Deva and Aleksei. Deva is physical therapist and Aleksei is a cage fighter born out of Russia and has ties to Bratva. Now, after a decade, she is heading back to Chicago and is pulled back into the underground. You see, when Deva was rescued 10 years prior, she agreed to return the favor. That favor has been called in – now she must get close to Aleksei and report back what she has found out. But now she finds herself in danger once more.

Holy Cow I loved listening to this book, the narrator did an outstanding job with bringing the characters to life. I could listen to him all day long. This author is one of my favorites and I never hesitate to pick up any books by her. This one kept me on the edge of my seat and at times I wanted the narrator to talk faster. Listening to this book took it to a whole new level for me. If you like books that are packed with suspense, mobs, gangs, drama and some Romance then I highly recommend reading/listening to this book. I can’t wait to listen to more of her books.

Loved this book!

I am totally all in with this book! The narrator was truly fantastic in this audio as well. This book is full of twists and turns with suspense, fighting MMA, mafia and mobsters. I loved the spark between Aleksei and Deva. Having a strong female character with Deva, I enjoyed her spirit no non-sense style. Deva comes back from being away as a favor and has to get close to Aleksei whom has some dark ties. This book is just so fantastic, cannot wait to continue this series.

Excellent character and world building

This book is packed full of such amazing writing. I was thoroughly impressed with this first book in the series. It managed to balance introducing quite a few side characters and giving them depth and backstory while not overwhelming the reader with too much to keep track of. The main characters in particular are written with so much intricacy that you immediately feel connected to them and invested in their story.

Deva, our main heroine has been hiding from a past that she is terrified of returning to but an obligation to pay off a debt pushes her to confront her past and in doing so she meets Aleksei, a fighter with an story of his own full of twists and turns. He has a sexy alpha personality but is there more to his story than meets the eye? And will Deva let herself fall for someone who reminds her so much of the past she left behind?
