Great storyline. Wonderful characters.

Not finished Loon Point yet. However, as a ravenous reader, I know a great book when I read one. Loon Point grabbed me from the get-go. The characters are developed and very interesting. So far, I have laughed out loud and I have also cried. I love this book and hope the Carrie Classon, the author will continue on with this series. I highly recommend Loon Point.

Five Stars

I absolutely loved this book.

I love cranky older men, so that character alone had me. The addiction storyline hit close to home in a way that felt honest and not overdone. Plus, I’m always a sucker for found family.

I read it in one sitting and I’m genuinely sad to let these characters go. I would absolutely Love if this was the start of a series.

Loved Loon Point

The audiobook readers were superb, just the right amount of Minnesota accent and not overdone. A great variety of interesting characters who each experienced growth through the circumstances that threw them together. Wendell reminded me of Ove from Frederik Bachman’s book “A Man Called Ove”, lovable in spite of himself. A feel good story that I will remember for a long time.

A warm, sad, rejuvenating & realistic look at the ups and downs of life lived through the lenses of a variety of people in multiple generations.

And in beautiful northern Minnesota to boot.
Well worth listening!
I highly recommend it.

The performance by Vocal Artists Aasne Vigesaa, Malcolm Hillgartner, and Kate Coventry is excellent at pulling you into the story, the lives of the people and the scenery with authentic, warm, relatable and well-blended individual craftsmanship woven together creating a seamless whole.

The different perspectives of the same timeline were done very well.

I liked how easy it was to see a piece of myself in the personalities of each character. Well done e story!
