Plot twist

Enjoyed the book but I think it had the biggest plot twist out of all the books in the series and other series leading up to it. I was all o.O but who?? Twice. For two separate things. On to the next book!!

My favorite Warriors book of all. (Slight spoiler)

I didn't think I could be any more in love with this series. This book in particular was the greatest. A little different from the others in all the right ways. Not even upset about the cliffhanger. Just super excited to start the next.

Great story! Spoilers btw

I’ve started to read this series and i think this was one of the most dramatic books yet.

SPOILERS AHEAD SO BEWARE

Jay wing and jaypaw

in my opinion the whole jay wing bit was pretty interesting and i liked it and it was quite enjoyable to see the softer side of jayfeather when he was interacting with half moon. I saw some spoilers on Pinterest about him and half moon so I’m excited to read into it more. Also i know that hollyleaf isn’t one of the three but in the middle of listening i noticed this. Doves wing is the sister of jays wing and that makes me think about dovepaw/wing and that will be an interesting plot in future books.

Ashfur fire scene and death

This was far and away the most interesting part of the book. With squirrelflight calling him out earlier i think that just pushed him off the edge. Ashfur is a great antagonist in my opinion fueled by love and hate. I like how he talks about his pain and how he doesn’t care for brambleclaw, he hates squirrelflight. And of course the reveal of the secret about her kits was very shocking. What surprised me though is how ashfur still didn’t kill them because well… there still very close to her and it would hurt her immensely. And after the threats of him telling every cat at the gathering and hollyleaf and jayfeather scaring him, then he ends up dead, is not that much of a coincidence i think. I think that in sunrise, the next book, the killer will be revealed and i have my suspicions on who.

These two parts were the most interesting to me so this is not a full review but just of the two main parts in my opinion.

Voicing
These cats are my favorite voices:

Mousefur. Her voice as the crabby elder was my favorite. She was intently recognizable and clear.

Greystripe. I like his because his slight lisp also made him recognizable and i love how his voice has eveolved over the series

Firestar. Like Greystripe, has matured over the series and firestar has definitely gotten a deeper, more authoritative voice and i love that

Jaypaw/feather. His crabby and slightly squeaky voice was amusing to me and it’s just like I’ve also pictured his voice.

Daisy. The emotion in everything she says shows how much passion she has, even though she’s just a queen.

Leafpool. Her voice (especially to jayfeather) was very sweet. It was different from other shecat and had a motherly tone to it. It’s frantic sometimes and really shows her character.

Those were my favorite voices

THAT WAS SO UNEXPECTED!

I was shocked when they said that Ashfur was killed, and what a coincidence that Squirrelflight was gone at the same time as him, and was completely drenched after he was drowned. Red herring, or was it Squirrelflight? I’d never thought Warriors would turn into a murder mystery! This was definitely an unexpected, but much needed ending! Can’t wait to read the next book!!!

Loved the book

I loved the book but I feel a little sorry for Jayfeather, as Jaywing he liked it in the past and even fell in love. And when his vision ended he felt a little lonely. Also I feel sorry for Ashfur because I’m sure he would be a nice warrior if it wasn’t for his envy. And later it will be known that Hollyleaf killed Ashfur and she has been in an emotional cage. So the twists in this book were my favorite but also the green cough and when Firestar moved the sick cats out I felt bad Firestar is my favorite. Sorry for the spoilers loved the book.
