As high achievers, we’ve been conditioned to believe that the path to success is paved with relentless work. That if we want to overachieve, we have to overexert, overthink, and overdo. That if we aren’t perpetually exhausted, we’re not doing enough. But lately, working hard is more exhausting than ever. And the more depleted we get, the more effort it takes to make progress. Stuck in an endless loop of “Zoom, eat, sleep, repeat”, we’re often working twice as hard to achieve half as much.

For years Ryder Carroll tried countless organizing systems, online and off, but none of them fit the way his mind worked. Out of sheer necessity, he developed a method called the Bullet Journal that helped him become consistently focused and effective. Then it went viral. To his astonishment, Bullet Journaling is now a global movement. The Bullet Journal Method is about much more than organizing your notes and to-do lists. It's about what Carroll calls "intentional living": weeding out distractions and focusing your time and energy in pursuit of what's truly meaningful.

Publisher's Summary
List makers get the right things done.
Don't waste a minute: 1,440 minutes. That's how many minutes there are in a day. How are you spending those precious minutes? Do you feel drained at the end of the day or look back and can't figure out where the time went? If you're not feeling fired up and fueled by your lists, Paula Rizzo, best-selling author and Emmy-award winning television producer, delivers the solution in Listful Living.
Prioritize what really matters. Listful Living is the journal you need to get your life in order once and for all. Make sure you're putting the right things on your list, not just lists of tasks but those things you truly want to do that will nourish your soul.
Make lists work for you. Anyone can make a list, but can that list make you a calmer, more mindful, superproductive, and less stressed version of yourself? It's easy to become overwhelmed by to-do lists, bucket lists, and goals. The secret to success is not just about what you put on your list but what you intentionally leave off. Less is more. Leading with intention and how you'd like your life to feel is key.
Listful Living is the perfect book for list makers and life planners. You can learn to:
- Tap into your own productivity style to get more done.
- Curate your list making to best serve the lifestyle you want to lead.
- Prioritize what's truly important and be mindful of where you spend your precious energy.
- Create a road map to be less stressed.
- Reduce stress.

I did not enjoy this or find it useful
The advice in this book doesn’t really work if you have a full time job and kids. Most people can’t just declare that they aren’t going to have any meetings on Mondays. The advice seems more geared towards people who have their own business and that business schedule is highly adaptable. Also, the last part of most every chapter felt like a commercial where she was promoting all sorts of apps and things for you to buy.

Great book, easy listing. Love that the author red the book. Paula also add lots of great other resources along the way to check out. Then going back over the book and filling out the worksheet the next few evenings. Also looking forward to checking into the links and resources that she recommended at the end of the book.

A Must Have Listen!
I am definitely an Audible gal but this book is so wonderful that I also purchased the book too. It is more than just a book it is a workbook where you can respond to the questions right in the book. It is a small book packed with loads of helpful information of how to ease the stress in your life while doing some self-reflection on methods that work best for you. This book is compact that you can carry it in a purse or briefcase and do a few pages during your downtime. The author, Paula Rizzo narrated it herself and she did a great job!! I highly recommend Listful Living!

It just didn't flow.
I didn't think I was going to finish this, as the book didn't flow at all. There were a lot of ideas, most of which I've thought about or heard about. I liked the idea of sending a letter to yourself a year from now, but this could be like reading a diary or blog entry, or annual goals.
It would have been better to go into a bit more detail about some of the points mentioned. Instead, Paula is reading a list of random things. If she had suffered physically from a mental breakdown, it would have been helpful to find which things specifically worked for her. Otherwise, why even mention her burst appendix? What did her working life look like before compared to now.
Part of the stress relieving techniques reminds me of the saying, "With money, you can have anything."

Fumio Sasaki changed his life when he became a minimalist. But before minimalism could really stick, he had to make it a habit. All of us live our lives based on the habits we’ve formed, from when we get up in the morning to what we eat and drink to how likely we are to actually make it to the gym. In Hello, Habits, Sasaki explains how we can acquire the new habits that we want - and get rid of the ones that don’t do us any good.

Story
Fumio Sasaki changed his life when he became a minimalist. But before minimalism could really stick, he had to make it a habit. All of us live our lives based on the habits we’ve formed, from when we get up in the morning to what we eat and drink to how likely we are to actually make it to the gym. In Hello, Habits, Sasaki explains how we can acquire the new habits that we want - and get rid of the ones that don’t do us any good.

And we wonder why we are stressed out, anxiety-ridden, tired, walking zombies.

Story
We are often on a quest for more, giving in to pressure every day to work more, own more, and do more. For Courtney Carver, this constant striving had to come to a stop when she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Stress was like gasoline on the fire of her symptoms, and it became clear that she needed to root out the physical and psychological clutter that were the source of her debt and discontent. In this book, Carver shows us how to pursue practical minimalism so we can create more with less - more space, more time, and even more love.
