Dragons and Warlocks and Witchcraft

This was something rather different for me. I understand Lilly being different and it was amazing to be on her journey as she grew. She didn't let it get to her when being picked on but this book was set back in 1600's and during the witch trials in Salem. Knowing a little bit of history going into this book makes it intriguing, the proper language they used, the respect they had for each other including the children for the adults, the barter system they sometimes used, I really enjoyed it.

This story was about Lilly and her journey coming into her own. She finds out who she is when "The Hammer" comes into town. She learns his secret as well. However, with so many secrets and accusations be thrown around about who is a witch for fear of being hung, what can happen in her mind and heart? Can Lilly protect herself and mother from the demons and not be accused of witchcraft? This turns out to be a very difficult task.

Slow start then WOW

Not my normal genre (historical) in type. But, holy cow what a story!!! I absolutely loved it and wished it could have continued on and been a series. It ended very well...I just loved the characters and storyline too much to just let it be done..:-(. It was performed beautifully!! I would highly recommend! Once I started I didn’t stop till it was finished!!
