Clare Can No Longer Be Overlooked
Grateful that this scholarly narrative has been made simple for the reader to visualize and reflect … and connect the dots of how the Franciscan brotherhood came to be.
One wonders whether the brotherhood would have survived such charged political and financial forces from within the church without Clare?
Francis and Clare together caused the cardinals, bishops, and popes to kneel in respect, thus two people changed world history from a small hill town.
Clare cannot be overlooked, nor should this work.
