Publisher's summary

If you’re a guy like me, and you find yourself having banged your sexy new boss - the school principal - in the back of your Jeep one drunken night, here’s a few takeaways based on my experience....

Lesson One: Always get her full name.

Lesson Two: Consider asking what she does for a living.

Lesson Three: Find out why she’s moved to town. Get details. Details are crucial.

Lesson Four: Don’t alter her bio in front of an auditorium of high school students unless you know she has a sense of humor for that sort of thing.

Lesson Five: If you ignore Lesson Four, apologize instead of flirt when you’re sent to the principal’s office.

Lesson Six: Never sleep with her again.

Lesson Seven: Pay attention to this one - it’s the most important of them all. Don’t fall for your one-night stand.

Class dismissed.

Cute rom com!!!

I enjoyed this sweet, no angst and funny story. Good story about a family of 7 siblings that lost their parents early on and the trials and tribulations they are experiencing growing up and the impact of losing their parents. This was Austin's story and I thought it was well written and narrated. Looking forward to the next siblings story.
This was my first listen of Tim Paige as a narrator and I will listen to him again. Tanya is a seasoned narrator and she knows what shes doing!!

My Thoughts on Lessons from a One Night Stand

Lessons From a One Night Stand kicks off the new series by Piper Rayne and as usual they did a great job. They introduce us to the Bailey family and already have my interest. I'm excited to learn more about all of them. But to get started we get the eldest brother in the family Austin. He's the kind of guy it's really hard not to like the more you learn about him. His dedication to his family is incredible and he genuinely comes across as a nice guy.

His leading lady is Holly. She's smart, funny, caring, and has her own set of baggage. But she's likeable, relatable, and was so fun to read about.

This whole story unfolds in such an interesting and sometimes very unexpected way. But I loved the way it was told. I loved the Bailey family. I am so very excited for this series.

The narration added an extra something special to this story and I really enjoyed the performance while reading.

Lessons from a One-Night Stand The Baileys, Book 1

Lessons From a One Night Stand is the first book in The Bailey’s Series and the first book that I have read by these dynamic duo authors or at least listened to since this was an audible book.

Principle Holly Radcliff has already met her one night stand and she did it in the back of a Jeep. Coach Austin Bailey needs to learn the 7 lessons that were in the blurb. They didn’t even know the others name.

Holly is from FL and now with a temporary new job as a principle in Lake Starlight, Alaska.

Austin had to leave a career in Baseball to come home and help with all his siblings after the tragic death of their parents. He is working as a Coach at the High School where Holly is the acting Principal. There are quite a few Baileys’

There are nine Baileys and they are Austin, Savannah, Brooklyn, Rome & Denver (twins), Juno, Kingston, Phoenix and Sedona (twins). I am looking forward to getting to know all these Baileys.

This is what I know so far as to who belongs to which book.

#1 Lessons From a one night Stand is Austin and Holly’s story
#2 Advice from a Jilted Bride – Brooklyn and Wyatt
#3 Birth of a Baby Daddy – Rome and Harley

I think that Piper and Rayne met their goal in bringing a heartwarming romance with humor and a side of sizzle! I enjoyed reading Lessons From a One Night Stand and I am looking forward to Advice from a Jilted Bride.

As I said earlier that this was an audible book linked with Whispersync. I like to be able to read if I need to. Sometimes if it is a complicated storyline it's great to be able to go back and actually read a passage. That was not the case with this book. I still like to view the book at the same time.

I also like when the author uses more than 1 narrator. Especially for male and female roles to have a male and female narrator. And, I especially enjoyed Tanya Eby and Tim Paige.

DNF - didn't like female narrator

I think I am one of the few people who don't care for Tanya Eby. I've tried her books several times, and just can't get past her voice. I only got about 25% through the book when I gave up. I really liked Tim Paige and will look for more titles with his narration.

Headlines

A family that can't stay out of a small town Gossip blog learn a lot about each other... Maybe more than they bargained for sometimes. This is a great story about lust turned to love at 1st sight.

Light hearted, sweet and sexy

Heard the first chapter on the story bites podcast. Fun story of 2 nice people who fall in love in a small Alaskan town where everyone know everyone’s business. Fans of Jill shalvis will enjoy.

Not bad, but the narrators. Eesh!

The female is just choppy in her narration, and she reads WAY too fast! I felt like she couldn't wait to get done with the book! It was like a cartoon character was reading to me.

If you're looking for that high school drama that happened between the faculty when you were in high school, this book is syrupy and full of the teenage angst between two adults but it wasn't an unpleasant read if that is your thing. But read it. the narrators are what send that teenage angst over the top to an annoying level.

Laughs and tears

I found this to be a fun, somewhat saucy read and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Good story

Good story, nicely written and Tim Paige did a fantastic job narrating. I found the other narrator very stilted and almost robotic sounding at times which made those chapters hard to enjoy.
