Acerca de esta escucha
Our nation’s criminal justice system has spread, bringing more people inside. With a growing government, we see more investigations. Rather than responding with civil procedures, prosecutors convene grand juries and bring indictments.
In Lessons from Prison, Justin Paperny shares his story of going through every aspect of the system. Despite being a graduate of the University of Southern California and leading a charmed career as a licensed financial services professional, Justin’s decisions led to:
- A government investigation,
- A series of interactions with defense attorneys,
- A series of judicial proceedings,
- A presentence investigation,
- A sentencing hearing,
- A journey through a federal prison,
- A stint in a halfway house, and
- A term of Supervised Release.
Despite those setbacks, Justin adjusted in ways that returned him to society with his dignity intact and new opportunities to contribute.
While incarcerated in a federal prison camp, Justin laid the groundwork to launch White Collar Advice, a consulting practice to assist non-criminogenic people with crisis management and mitigation services.
In Lessons from Prison, listeners will learn strategies to overcome the challenges and collateral consequences that follow a government investigation.
