THE CHARACTERS CAME ALIVE WITH RYAN'S VOICE.. SIGH

This is a fantastic series if you're a paranormal romance lover..... Vampires, Were-shifters, Witches, Demons and now, in this entertaining story, yet another 'species' has been conjured up by the very talented Kym Grosso in her new, very imaginative, hot, romantic, funny and exciting plot. The sexy, charismatic and hunky French Master Vampire Leopold, who has turned his back on close friendships for 1000 years, has finally met a woman that can tear down his barriers, isn't afraid of his Alpha 'me a cold and scary Vamp' ways and is a perfect match for his sensual desires (and boy does he have some... Ooo la la!). But Laryssa comes with baggage of her own.... in the form of an evil Demon Stalker wanting to sexually claim her together with her missing magical sacrificial dagger that will allow him to open up the portals of Hell and, if that's not bad enough, he wants her soul too.

An addictive action packed ride that has a humorous feisty but confused and vulnerable Heroine, a French Vampire Hero who oozes charm, looks and sex appeal also the plot includes characters from previous books who all get involved in the storyline so multiple POV's (but mainly from the H/H's). However, the main star, who made this an awesome listen, is Ryan West as his narration was just perfect.... no matter what personality, nationality or gender he did, he did them all so well and what a gift it is to have a narrator such as Ryan. He made a good book into a great listen and gave all the cast of paranormals larger than life likeable (and dislikable) characters with their ego's, faults, strengths, vulnerabilities, sexy and humorous sides so visualising them, and each scene, was a joy.

Worth a credit? Yes, absolutely but this is a very sexy listen and not for the unsuspecting listener who shies away from the explicit and downright flirty and dirty sex scenes.... You've been warned.

Hot!

Great story and very hot! A seriously fun read.. I could not take too many breaks as wanted to know what happened next.
This is not a story for those offended by well described sexual scenes. Yet for those that are open and love a great paranormal romance, this is right up there with the best!

Hot, Sexy, and Wicked!

Wow! Book five in the Immortals of New Orleans was Awesome! I loved PNR's, and this serious has a great mix of action, suspense, steamy sex scene and humor! Grosso has done an excellent job developing the plot and characters, as well as the world building which is very captivating. While each story could be listened as a stand alone, each book adds more depth to the word and characters, and builds on each other.

Throughout the series, I've liked Leopold and enjoyed his story. His character is sophisticated, sexy, lethal, but also has a vulnerable and caring side which we get to see as his and Laryssa's relationship blossom. A very powerful vampire indeed.

West's performance is amazing! I really enjoy how he portrays the characters, especially the dominate/alpha males.

Awesome series, and narration that's totally worth a credit!

I love hearing Ryan tell this story he brings the characters more alive in my head as I listen to him.

Now this was just an amazing and hot read!!! I just love Leopold he is so a hot and power vampire and Laryssa is so brave and loving naiad. As for the rest of this book if you what know what happens to Leopold and Laryssa you got read this so amazing and sizzling book!!!!

Hot

I am going to start by admitting that this is my second read of this novel. the first was not audio and I am so glad I took part in the audio version of this.
I fell in love with Ryan West through his narration of Kym's first novel and my love has only grown. Ryan just has this way about using his voice to bring to life these intricate characters Kym has developed. His use of accents is awesome, but by far I love his southern drawl.

As for the story, well, it is awesome. There were so many things that I forgot about that happened in the story and found myself laughing out loud again with the interactions between Dimitri and Leo. Love, love love this Series!

Naughty naughty Leopold!

Just three?! I would say adventurous, naughty and passionate!

What did you like best about this story?

I loved the characters and their personalities. Kym Grosso did a great job in developing the characters and giving them each their own voice. I liked the friendship between Leopold and Dimitri. The banter back and forth made me laugh.

Which character – as performed by Ryan West – was your favorite?

Leopold of course! Ryan West does a great job in getting into character with Leopold. His voice is consistent, steady and clear the whole time.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes! The combination of Kym's story and Ryan's performance made this book really enjoyable.

Kym Grosso is a gifted author. Her Immortals of New Orleans series is outstanding! The characters are likable, witty and full of passion. Leopold's Wicked Embrace has it all. An alpha male, a passionate female who can take care of herself, and some naughty scenes! I recommend the whole series! You will not be disappointed!

Down the rabbit hole.....

Once again the writer has the female protagonists as weak and just plain stupid. How can you be on the run your entire life, then suddenly you have no instincts. All this is because you met a arrogant domineering male, albeit with major sex appeal, and now you are just out of control.
My life is consumed by a demon that wants to own and control me....... ohhh yeah, I will deal so liberated by someone I love and trust that treats me like a PET.
Yeah......that says love and romance. 🤤

Unpredictable

Storyline was great however, Larissa's character very whiney and at most times irritating. Loved Leopold very strong, masculine with a little bit of cocky.

Absolutely Mesmerizing!

Thrilling and mesmerizing, this is a can't put down book. The characters just draw you in and won't let go. Narrator Ryan West as usual does a superb job of transporting you right into the story world, making it real. The epilogue always leads you right into the next book. I very highly recommend this book and the entire must read series.

loved this one!

Leopold is a thousand year old vampire who is used to everyonedoing what he tells them to do. Returning to New Orleans on the trail of a killer and a mystery about a baby, he crosses paths with Laryssa, an antiques dealer with a secret. When the mystery/baby/killer all converge on Laryssa, she is forced to give into Leopold and his protection, but can they protect themselves from each other?

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH now thats what I've been waiting for! In my reviews for the other four books, I have said I felt something was missing, something I could not put my finger on. I was annoyed that I couldn't find what i wanted, but something kept me reading them and then....BOOM!!

I loved Leo in the other books, and Laryssa is a strong willed female who will not listen when told, by Leo, she stands up to him, and Leo is a little perturbed to find he likes it! Leo has some deep dark emotional past, that is hard to read at times, I mean you'd think that after a thousand years the pain would be less, but no, it comes across loud and clear. The attitude Laryssa shows him comes across too, making some laugh out loud moments breaking up the emotional and hot ones. AND boy are they hot! What I particularly liked, is the mix of the language Leo uses, its well defined, and very proper, AND then, he flips and is rude and vulgar and all very well timed so it doesnt seem out of place.

You get Logan, Wynter, Luca, Samantha, Sydney and Kade, they all play a part. Dimitri plays a HUGE part in this book, and I loved him and his way with Leopold. It leads very nicely into the next book, too, which is Dimitri's story, and I will be reading that as soon as it comes out!

The plot?? is excellent, it moves along, at speed, and a little slow, but its constantly moving, with little hints along to keep you going, you dont get it all in one go. You get introduced to new paranormal beings, too.

steam, violence, secrets that could cost lives, this book has it all.

Oh one last thing....LOVE the cover, now I've read it! :-) not that I didnt before, but now I know where the red dress fits in the story, and the WHOA steamy dancing...perfect.

big jump from 3 stars for book 4 to a full five stars for this one, read in one sitting :-)

Ryan West narrates.

This is the first of his work I have listened to. He has an American twang that is very easy on the ears! His story telling voice is smooth, real smooth, and each character has a clearly definable voice, making it obvious who is talking when. His voices are so much better, clearer, fabulous-er (is that a word? it is now!) that what I heard in my head when I READ this book. If that makes any sense??!!

I do love LISTENING to a book I have already READ. I get so much more out of the experience. Second time around, I get the title line, the emotions come across differently, the story grabs me in a slightly altered way. Mr West's narration is excellent. He gives you everything you need to get the full audio experience: love, passion, hatred, pain, distain, every emotion comes across perfectly, clearly and in all the right places.

As I said, this is the first I have listened to of Mr West's work, and the first book in this series I have listened to, but I have read them all. Books one through four got 3 and 4 stars, and this book got 5 full and shiny stars.

Yes i would as the book is all action packed, romance, hot hot hot sex. The aurthor is very clever with her words.

I have all the books in this series and was awaiting for Leopolds book to come out. I liked the way he courted Larissa, Patient and very decisive that he wanted her in his life.

Have you listened to any of Ryan West’s other performances? How does this one compare?

Ryan West is one of My favourite narrators. The way he brings out all the emotions of the characters, the way his voice changes on all the characters. I think he is very Brilliant and talented.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The book made me laugh sometimes and it was fast paced which i like in My books.

I love to listen to Audible books driving as My work requires driving a lot, Doing house work. Kym Grosso is becoming one of My favourite authors and i love Ryan West sexy voice.
