Best friend to lovers with some suspense
I love a good best friend story and Leo and Natalie are on top of my list.
While serving on the same team they become best friends, Natalie on the support team of Leo’s delta team Leo never wanted to cross the line. Timing is everything when in both of their minds go there, both in California Leo with the West coast Lighthouse keepers and Natalie doing bodyguard work Natalie gets sent to Guatemala to watch over an actress.
I loved both of these characters Leo a strong aloha but with a sweet heart, Natalie a kick ass, hangs with the guys but still has a heart
Of course there’s suspense when the assistant working on the movie set gets grabbed Leo and the Keepers come in to help Natalie with rescue.
Maryann Jordan writes just enough back story that you’ll fall in love and want them to be together and the suspense will have you turning the pages.

Cute besties to more…
Leo and Natalie have been best friends since their days in Delta Force. Now they each work as security specialists…him as a Keeper, and her as a bodyguard to the Hollywood stars. Leo is happy with his job and hoping to lure the unhappy Natalie to LSIWC…except he’s concerned that his growing feelings may be a hindrance. All that hesitance flies out the door when Natalie calls for help to locate a kidnapped friend in Guatemala. Leo and team race to the rescue…and the pair must now admit that they want to be more than besties. Good story with equal amounts of drama and romance.

Why All the Cussing?
I love the lighthouse series and thought I had found a new author in Maryann Jordan. I will read/ listen to the next book in the series but if has as many F words in my t as this one did, I’ll stop there.
I was raised in a military family. I curse. I use the F word…OCCASIONALLY! I felt like this story used them to the point of aggravation. Tough doesn’t equate to cursing. A bit disappointed. Hoping for a redeeming third in the series.
