Publisher's summary

Everyone has something to fear.

I fear going home.

Over a century ago, I left my homeland and my people. I’ve never gone back. I’ve deprived myself of the community for a variety of reasons, both good and bad. I made the decision, regardless of the consequences, and never looked back.

Now, I don’t have a choice and Raphael is coming along for the ride. Politics, revelations, mating, and responsibility all point to the inevitable. I need to make the long trip home. Back to the place I spent my childhood. Back to the place where my family died. Back to the land of my nightmares.

Back to India and the legends it holds.

But I’m not the girl who left decades ago. I’m one of those legends.

My name is Kaliya Sahni and fear will no longer hold me back.

Such a great addition to the series!

I’m so sad this book is over. I will probably have to listen to it all again just to keep it fresh. I absolutely love this series. Kaliya is such a wonderfully multifaceted character. She’s flawed, but brave and strong. I think I may even like her more than Jacky Leon, not to throw shade though because Jacky is pretty bad ass herself. I love Kaliyah’s growth in this book and look forward to her kicking serious ass in the last one. Parts of it seemed slow but it was all necessary for the ending to make sense. Don’t let it deter you from continuing down their path. The ending was exciting and sad. I felt like I had adrenaline coursing through my veins and then I was crying like a baby. K.N. Banet really outdid herself on this one.

Ariel Royce, as throughout the whole series, was just amazing. Her reading, inflection, and accents were on point. Definitely five stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sad to see some of the characters go away. I’m looking forward to what’s next. Since I drive for a living these books keep me going for miles and miles.

End of your seat stuff

This installment in the series is a wild roller coaster of emotions. K N Banet has woven all the threads of the previous books into this glorious tapestry of a story. I loved it.

whirlwind if emotions

I love Kristen's writing style, her depiction of these characters, and I hate the emotions elicited. okay thats not entirely true. a good writer makes their audience feel throughout their book, ajd its a wonderful thing. i fell in love with these characters, after all, this was the first real detailed look at everyone in kaliya's family. the way it ends is.... well, I won't spoil it. I'll just say I had all the feels and am SO looking forward to starting destiny now that it's out on audiobook.

it's all so good

This is my kind of stories. It has it all. I personally love how you live the sex to my own mind to play out as love, or as I think of love. Most writers today don't and I hate to pay for a book I can't read it all do to it. Please keep writing these kinds of stories.

My favorite author

I’m so in love with Banets writing. It’s such a breath of fresh air! Other authors need to take note. This genre, which I love, has a tendency of making their female MC to be weak and whiny. This is what I’ve been missing in these books. A truly strong independent women who knows her flaws but also knows her worth. You don’t get someone who other author makes super powerful but then makes their FMC super weak and whiny and can’t do anything without their domineering abusive male counterpart saving her. Not to mention the other books where the female is a straight up bitch yet all the guys can’t get enough of her. I truly hate those books! This book is NOT that. I absolutely love it and I’m so sad when the book is done because I know this genre is severely lacking in the strong independent female department. :( I love this author so much. Can’t wait for the last installment!
