Loved it! I feel like I learned a lot!

So I've been trying to really get this Spanish thing down! I used Pimsleur for 4 months (completed the 5 levels) and I learned a lot! What I like about this that's different from Pimsleur is that he gives you tips and tricks on how to turn English words into Spanish or explains why something is done this way or that way whereas Pimsleur was more conversational with no real explanation why certain words were said they were. Now, I love Pimsleur, don't get me wrong. I think they're both great. But again, I'm more of a person who likes to know the why as I find it helps it stick better. I suggest doing both honestly. It definitely made my daily commutes quite enjoyable.

Listen. I am a 32 year old AA male, with little Spanish experience. I took time to learn Spanish during COVID 19 to pass time. Let’s just say this was a great investment. One lesson a day is easy and definitely worth your money. I also practice by going to Spanish restaurants just to speak and listen. I also watch Spanish shows on Netflix.... this is a great investment and im a cheap guy.... you won’t be disappointed

Strong focus on core structure of language gives great foundation to start on. On to his next book!

Firstly I love the approach to learning.

I gave comings and tents years ago. Maybe change the story line to hotels.

Great Book!!

Really enjoyed this book(as well as the second book!) and got a lot out of it. It's repetitive enough that you understand and remember words easily, but not over the top. You're given enough time to think, translate and formulate a sentence in your head and then speak it aloud, giving you the time to digest and actually learn.

Refreshingly informative

With some knowledge of several languages and living in an area of many Spanish speakers I have some haphazard ability in Spanish. His approach without any grammar terms and with “trick” ways to remember is excellent. I will definitely get his next Spanish audible. More than worth the low price. Only 2 shortcomings,
reading off every number was a waste of time as was the time spent on donuts and bagetts.
May even get his German audible to brush up.

I'm only on chapter 3 and this is already the best language learning experience I've ever had. He is so kind and the intro is fantastic. includes multiple regional pronunciation styles and explains the differences between them. He doesn't give a list of vocabulary and silly phrases to learn, he teaches you how to figure many parts of the language on your own. Can't recommend this course enough.

Excellent Lesson

This is a wonderful beginner Spanish course. It is well though out, and uses simple techniques to help understand. Highly recommended. I look forward to the next level class!

Best Spanish intro course I've taken

I have been on and off with Spanish for a while, mostly with apps. This audio book clearly tells why and how words are pronounced, rather than just relying on repetition. I would say you can make full use of this of you spend some 2-3 weeks in duolingo-Spanish.

Worked well for me

I liked the structure and pace of this book. So far, it's the best tool I've found to casually learn Spanish. Purchasing the second book today.
