Publisher's Summary

From the New York Times best-selling author of Return of the King comes the story of LeBron James' incredible transformation from basketball star to sports and business mogul.

With eight straight trips to the NBA Finals, LeBron James has proven himself one of the greatest basketball players of all time. And like Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan before him, LeBron has also become a global brand and businessman who has altered the way professional athletes think about their value, maximize their leverage, and use their voice.

LeBron, Inc. tells the story of James' journey down the path to becoming a billionaire sports icon - his successes, his failures, and the lessons both have taught him along the way. With plenty of newsmaking tidbits about his roller coaster last season in Cleveland and high-profile move to the Lakers, LeBron, Inc. shows how James has changed the way most elite athletes manage their careers and how he launched a movement among his peers that may last decades beyond his playing days.

Critic Reviews

"Windhorst knows himself some LeBron, as he demonstrates here in detailing how a basketball player transformed himself into a shrewd entrepreneur worth well over a billion dollars.... A fascinating look inside the prototype for the new corporate athlete." (Booklist)

Informative, fast and inspiring.

Windhorst does an excellent job of sharing his knowledge, admiration and respect for James and his illustrious career. The book itself is a must read for not only the casual basketball fan, but those who look to better themselves. Lebrons journey is far from over and if we’re lucky, Windhorst will be there to guide us through it.

It was a little better than ok.

I like that I learned something that I didn't know before. And has great value but the quality of the story I think was lacking. Maybe it's because you know it didn't go into detail enough or maybe it's because there just isn't much there. but overall it was more than okay. it all depends on what you're looking for.

Amazing story

I didn’t have the slightest inkling of the breadth and depth of Lebron until I read this book. If you like stories about athletes or business, this book is worth checking out!

Doesn't live up to the title or expectations...

This book felt like a cash grab from a guy that's built his career on Lebron's back. While it does cover some of LeBron and co.'s business dealings, it's hardly the kind of stuff that billionaires are made of. Luckily, it's short and does provide some insight, but this book could've waited a few years to add more material and accomplishments.

Excellent book

A good book to read and realize, how to network and work with people. Yes, Lebron's at a very affluent stage but a lot of lesson's to be learned.
