Great story

It was a little hard to follow at the beginning. Although I caught on to the characters fairly quickly.

I LOVE THIS BOOK

This book is excellent. I enjoy every book that I've read from this author but this is full of surprises. A must read.

Best book yet!

I’m a big fan of this author but I think this has been her best work.

BRILLIANT STORY LINE. EXCELLENT NARRATION.

Complex characters with a complicated period love story. Dialogue that is logical, synical, emotional, yet relatable, this story pulls the reader in on the first page and keeps us enthralled to the end. Of all the books I've read by this author, THIS is my absolute favorite. Hoping for more of this type.

Wonderful story

I have read this story a few times. To hear that this revised version is due to 10th anniversary I was happy to buy another copy. I would say it still good. I was disappointed that there wasn’t an epilogue. Great storyline and good narration. I will be listening to this again.

Best so far

Julie Klassen is one of my favorite authors ever! I’ve enjoyed all the books I’ve read by her. But this was the best yet! I still didn’t know a couple answers to questions until the very end so it kept me very interested for the entire book. Yes, I did notice some similarities with Jane Eyre, another perennial favorite. The audio version was very well done too!

Great story of God’s redemption.

I loved the mystery involved in this amazing story of love and redemption. It beautifully unfolds the truth that there is no sin too great and that everyone deserves forgiveness.

Oh my Heart

So well written and narrated, the story is such a lesson in choices, and consequences, forgiveness and love. The story keeps you interested from beginning to end.

Not for me

I did not enjoy this book, but I can see how many other individuals would enjoy it. The book was long and drawn out. I found it difficult to stay with the book and finish it. A lot of the situations in the book seemed unrealistic. I have enjoyed several of Julie Klassen’s books in the past such as, The Sisters of Seaview series, On Devonshire Shores.
