Publisher's Summary

On his deathbed, the 90-year-old former bookkeeper for the Kansas City mafia names Walt as the successor trustee on his Living Trust.

An unsuspecting Walt soon discovers that his duties include keeping an eye on the heirs, who must complete some very specific tasks before claiming their inheritance.

When things start to go south, Walt soon learns that the heirs will resort to anything, including murder, to get their hands on their grandfather’s money.

Great read, Great series

Lady Justice and the Living Trust is my thirty-seventh enjoyable read/listen from author Robert Thornhill. Another entertaining clean read, filled with puns & one-liners, as always dealing with current social topics. Each book in the series seems better than the last as Thornhill continues to up his game. Narrator George Kuch again adds greatly to the listening enjoyment with his wide variety of entertaining voices & inflections, Kuch IS Walt Williams! I’ll definitely be reading more from Thornhill! I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. Up next is Lady Justice and the Bad Seed. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Lady Justice Strikes Again in the Living Trust!

Robert Thornhill does it again! Outstanding story characterized by a possible situation as we know by now, Walt Williams just can't say no even when he truly should. Humour throughout keeps it light-hearted while some are dying, some killed, some others threatened with dire consequences. Yet, through it all, Walt and crew have their eyes on righteousness. Enjoyable, certainly; a mystery, definitely; whodunit, yup; do the good guys win.....buy the book! You'll thank me!
P.S. George Kuch does an awesome performance as Walt Williams. He brings Mr. Thornhill's work to life in such a tremendous way!

Love this series

Robert Thornhill continues to deliver a great book. I enjoy this series very much. Walt Williams seems to attract trouble even when he is just being a trustee for a living trust. Of course Walt's Dad is the one who gets him involved in the first place. How Robert Thornhill comes up with these great story lines I don't know, but he always delivers a great story. George Kuch is again the narrator and honestly no one can be the voice of Walt Williams but George.

Exactly what I've come to expect

This story did not disappoint with it's slapstick comedy. The narrator has done a great job with the characters. Over the past number of stories the characters personalities remain separate. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Great greed

greed, murder, family-dynamics, inheritance, private-investigators, law-enforcement, friendship

Another interesting and fun tale highlighting a potential problem for some. Walt gets railroaded into becoming the successor trustee of the estate of an old friend of his dad. It could have been a simple annoyance except for the hostility of the non productive grandchildren who were the old man's only living relatives. The grandfather had things set up so that if they followed simple life improving steps they would inherit, but if they chose otherwise, certain charities would benefit instead. Not only are they noncompliant, but there is murder and attempted murder. Friends help and there is much more going on, some of which is fun. Of course there are the usual bad puns and dad jokes to keep things from getting too serious. Another winner with a life lesson!
George Kuch continues to be the low key narrator best suited to be the voice of Walt and company.

O what a tangled web we weave!

Greed, murder, and kidnapping are all the ingredients for a great story!

George Kuch does a great job narrating.

What an Ending

I absolutely love this series as they have serious situations with humor. In this book Walt is made trustee of the estate of Cosmo Sabatini (bookkeeper for the mob) and his only living relatives are the grandchildren Angelo, Lucia Mario ( not the greatest and money hungry), they get very upset when Lou Gallo reads the will and they get nothing unless they stick to the stipulations their grandfather made. The maid of 20 yrs. gets a good check which the kids do not like and tries to do something about it. Also the main characters in the book are Carmine, Kevin and Maggie. I love all of the characters especially Walt and his extended family. Great narration as usual. Highly recommend if you enjoy mysteries with humor. Keep them coming! I was given this free audiobook by author and have voluntarily left this review. THANK YOU!!!!

Greed, Suspense & a dose of Humor!

The lady Justice series is one of the best because of the writing that draws you in the spectacular narration that keeps every second this action packed story moving forward. It’s impossible to not listen to it in one go, or to hit pause because something is always happening (or about to happen). In this book Walt becomes the executor of a will and has to deal with 3 greedy grandkids who will do anything to get their hands on the estate money. There’s plenty of action & suspense mixed with some humor for good measure. All in all it’s another hit for the Lady Justice series, which is one of the best cozy series out there.
