Struggling through, Update got better.

I love the story sofar, the new narrator is tough. she is not bad but there is a lot of overlap with the voice and I have to go back and listen a second time. She seam to just be reading the story. I wished her the best but this is going to be rough but I'll get through.


Narration smoothed out after the first few chapters. I prefer her voice for Erin. Magnolia was a bit too much though. By the end of the book I was happy with the change overall.

Bring back Andrea Parsneau!!

I’m sure Erin Bennett is a fine narrator. That said Andrea brought so much more skill which really made the story come to life.

I’ve heard virtual voices on par with Erin if not better. Sounds harsh I know but it’s honest nonetheless.

Literally changed my opinion on every aspect of the story, that’s how much having the best narration means.

How is that you wrote 15 great books and then come out with a book of short stories and leave out a lot of the main characters. I did skip over the sex chapter. if I wanted to read that I would listen to Jhon Norman.. I like the series enough to give it another shot. I hope the next on is a actual book and not a bunch of short stories

Don’t like the complete swap of the voice actors

None of the characters sound anything like they did for the rest of this book series. Their performances don’t hit like they did before. Flos doesn’t sound like a king, he sounds like a rasping chain-smoker. Erin just isn’t the same, and Bird barely has any resemblance to what he was before. I am genuinely disappointed that every voice was changed and that it seems to really fall flat In That department.

New Narrator makes for a hard listen

Yikes the first half of the story was a hard listen. I was hoping she's at least nail the main character Erin but that was a complete miss. it really took me out of the story. It was the worst during Bird's story, which sucks because he's one of my favorite characters. I'm not sure if that section of the story was weak or if it was the narration. I've never been a big fan of the King's stories, but that actually helped the narrator in that section because I never paid too much attention. She didn't nail the King either, but the story still shown through. I love audiobooks so I'm disappointed, I heard Andrea P was burnt out but I hope she comes back. I wish they had her continue doing most of the characters and just have a second narrator help out with the voices she can actually do and new characters.
