In Kill Crazy, the 10th in Len Levinson’s series The Rat Bastards, actor Ray Porter embodies a full platoon of rough, tough killers fighting dirty across the war-torn landscapes of the South Pacific during WW II.
Porter’s performance is anything but half-hearted. He goes all in for this gritty military adventure, roaring, growling, and barking orders as he tells the story of a ragtag crew of fighters with one thing, at least, in common - in Levinson’s own words, "a lust for blood". His unabashedly animated performance makes Kill Crazy the kind of high-stakes escapist adventure any listener will be hard-pressed to resist.

Probably The Best One Yet
After so many books, despite their brevity, I always get concerned that the quality is going to decline. Fortunately, I felt this was the best one so far. It's tense from beginning to end and highlights all the inter-platoon relationship struggles all while fighting off the enemy.
