A Devastating Plan. The Undead Rising. Worlds Ending. I’d barely had time to recover from Elsbeth Wyght’s vicious game when the call from Detective Haskins came. This time a bank robbery with a difference... and of course nothing as it seemed. With this turn of events I found myself thrust onto a shadowy trail that would lead me back to the asylum of my deepest nightmares and a desperate hunt for the truth amid a growing, cataclysmic danger.

I returned to the city with one thing on my mind; find my nemesis and finish her. Nothing else mattered. Not the shadowy Organization I worked for. Not the Magic Council and their veiled threats. None of it. Just me and the witch locked into one final dance. But things weren’t exactly going to plan as I discovered a new, sinister threat. One that was trying to pry at the kind of locked doors that should never be opened, as well as driving a conspiracy to turn the entire world on its head.

Publisher's Summary
The love of her life left her long ago, shattering her heart into a million pieces. It's taken Hannah almost 12 years to push away the hurt and move on with life. That is, until the death of a Reaper brings Detective David Foster back to town and their paths cross once again.
With more and more of the soul-eating Reapers passing through town in search of the Chosen One, who happens to be her sister, Lucy, the Estmond family has been busy enough. Now, they rally together in hopes of keeping Hannah out of prison.
With all the trouble lately, being a Keeper, a protector of souls, has never been more difficult for Hannah. Will she forgive David and rekindle their relationship? More importantly, will he find out she is the one responsible for the murder he is investigating?
Sparks fly in more ways than one in the second installment of the Graveyard Guardians.

Main character not believable
Although I have read some Reaper books, this is the first I have listened to one. I generally speed read, so some details were skimmed while reading. Listening to this book made me more aware of details. My main concern is about Hannah, the main character. She is a Medical Examiner, a physician. However, she is not fleshed out well in the story. Her thoughts and verbalizations are simplistic, generally a 1-4 word sentence or single words or expletives. She comes across more like a teen rather than a 30 year old woman with an MD. She is dependent on others for guidance and decisions. Very distracting. The narrator was pretty good.

Keeper of the Peace
Graveyard Guardians, Book 2
By: Jennifer Malone Wright
Narrated by: Kelsey Osborne
Although this is book 2 and I didn't read book one, I didn't get lost. I want to go back and read book one now because this one was so good. I have book one in ebook but this I had in audible so I thought I would try to see if I could follow without reading one first and it was fine. I really enjoyed it. It is about two groups of supernatural beings that fight each other and burn each other on contact. The book is centered on one family of Keepers (that protect souls) vs the Reapers (that take souls). But one of the daughters of the Keepers falls in love with a Reaper and they don't burn each other. There is a prophecy....blah blah but it is an intriguing story and great characters. I was wrapped up in it and hooked right away.
The narration was good and performed the voices well.

What a sequel!!
I knew great things would come in this series & boy did they ever!! Keeper of the Peace was a wonderful sequel to Keeper vs. Reaper! It was not lacking in action & excitement, & on the spicy hot scale it bumped up a few notches. There's so much happening with everyone involved this go round that I was extra annoyed when someone interrupted me. I can't wait to get my hands on book 3!

I really enjoy the story line for this series. I can't wait for the next one. The only thing that bothered me was the way the narrator made Hannah sound whiny every time she spoke.

I want to be a Estmond
If you could sum up Keeper of the Peace in three words, what would they be?
Action, Romance, Suspense
What was one of the most memorable moments of Keeper of the Peace?
The moment when Hannah and David reconnect at her place.
Which scene was your favorite?
The rescue mission!
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
No crying but a definite nail bitter.
Any additional comments?
Book 2 picked up right from Book 1. Hannah’s story is a definite page turner. Like the first installment, Book 2 is fast paced and action packed. I love that the series delves into each family member and we get to see many faucets of the Estmond family dynamic. I love this family! I cannot wait to see what happens next.
