Mysterious and intriguing

The back story of the characters was quite interesting. Throw in a little mystery and romance...well that just made for a better story.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I purchased this book as G.Z read it. Her AKA name Isabelle Gordon are her hotter reads.
Good story, with a mystery and romance. I enjoyed K.R. short stories with the Caldwell brothers.

Would you be willing to try another book from Katie Reus? Why or why not?

Actually, I had not tried more of this author until Pyper Down read about 4 of them in short stories. Also JF Harding is a great read of KR, do not miss it.

Which character – as performed by Gabra Zackman – was your favorite?

our hero of course. GZ makes the heros all sound yummy. With the fast pace of KR short stories, GZ needs to now speed up her reads to get with the program

Was Dangerous Secrets worth the listening time?

yes it was for me. I buy due to the readers first and then the story. I can read a book but when I listen, it is because I want the reader to bring the story to life.

Another winner by this talented author

Another absolutely great story by this talented author, filled with lots of suspense, edge of your seat moments and of course romance.
The story centers around Isabelle/Izzy Ballantine and Adam Marcellus.
Izzy is working in a bar far from home , much to her father’s dismay. He’s very rich and wants her to move back home. She wants to spread her wings , and get away from his overprotectiveness. There she meets a new hire, Adam. Little does she know that he’s been hired to protect her and convince her to return home. If he does that , he gets a contract with Izzy’s father.
But lies of omission usually come back to haunt you, and what you think you wanted , really is not want you want at the end.
But the road to happiness will be a tough one. Trust is tested, forgiveness might not come , danger is around the corner, but hope endures.
As always, the author gives us an engaging plot and characters that are complex and imperfect. I specially appreciate the fact that the female character is a strong woman.
The narrator , Gabra Zackman does an excellent job with the voices.

didn't finish

I couldn't get into the story and only made it to chapter 4. I usually like Katie Reus but this one wasn't for me. Narrator has a strong voice but I don't care for her male characters.

Silly and boring

Just not good, the writing is shallow. Slow moving story, The narrator is decent except for when she’s doing Adams voice, then unfortunately she sounds exactly like Holly Hunter, which is off-putting as the hero.
