Jumped around so much.

This book jumped around in time so much I quit at chapter 28. There was no way to follow. Kelsey should stick to acting.

Thank you for sharing your grief, I in such a beautifully, melancholic way. The flow of words squeezed my heart while also offering a pinch of healing for the loss of my own brother.

Brother’s devotion to murdered sister

I went to PC school with Kelsey and Karen. I knew them the best in 8th grade. I graduated with exceptionally talented Kelsey. My sister was in school with Karen at Palm Cove. This book fleshes out his loss of his grandfather, sister, father, step brothers, grandmother and mother. Despite all this loss Kelsey was able to go on and have a marvelous career, a life partner and 7 children.
I feel like I laughed and cried with Kelsey on every page. Kelsey’s magnificent love for Karen, his family and God are on every page. There’s so much pain but also joy. I’m so glad Kelsey wrote this to set himself free from survivor’s guilt and his total helplessness to have done anything for Karen at the time of her death.
“To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord” That gives me so much comfort about death and hope it comforts Kelsey.

I enjoyed this book tremendously, especially because it hits close to home. My name is Karen and I lost a sister, her name was Suzie. I appreciated the author’s honesty. This book was cathartic for me. Thank you, Kelsey Grammer, I’m grateful for your sacrifice.

Sad but beautiful

I related to Kelsey having to read the police report about Karen’s final moments. I have had a murder’s in my family. When I read the police report it was so much worse than I even imagined. I feel for him in that moment. This was a beautiful tribute to his sister and the journey it took him on.

Full of love

A love story to his dear sister. Oh to have been that well loved. Kelly weaves his life in with his sister Karen’s in a tapestry of remembrance

An Unusual Love Story

In places, Grammer’s writing is exquisite, his insights powerful and moving. In other places, excessive, verbose. Nevertheless the story is a moving tribute to family relationships highlighting a remarkable bond between a brother and a sister. They were blessed to have each other, to be such close friends. I enjoy Kelsey Grammer’s acting and appreciate having discovered he’s a terrific writer!

I enjoyed the relationship between Kelsey and his sister Karen. This was a powerful book, and it helped me understand.how hard it is to lose someone that you love so much.
