another slam dunk 🏀

Great story character work and worldbuilding by Fonda Lee. Can't wait for book 3 this year

i have no idea to feel about this.

I hate every character in this book, however, I just cannot get enough of this story.

Absolute Banger

Believable Asia, _characters_, drugs, gays, gangsters, love, magic, peace, politics, and war: this book has it all and it absolutely slaps. It carries on all the energy and promise of book one with all the characters you still deeply care about while bringing in still more who are just as real.

I can't wait to see how the survivors do in book three.

Holy Crap so much crazy $h1t happened

this book blew my mind. I liked Jade city but wasn't blown away. Jade War completely blew my mind. the last half of the book is probably the biggest roller coaster I've ever been on. It was just moment after moment of the unthinkable happening. If you didn't like Jade City, give Jade War a chance.

Cant believe I didnt pick this series up sooner. Thanks, Daniel Greene, for you recommendation!

An amazing story, with an engaging setting

I enjoyed this one even more than the first, as it provided an excellent world broadening story. The cast broadens, without becoming overwhelming and the story proceeds logically, engagingly, and without "gotchas"

Sprawling and Ambitious

Jade City was an incredible first entry in the series, working to establish a culture and society that captured my interest. It was filled with rich characters and a well paced plot that kept me on the edge of my seat. Jade War surpassed it in every way, expanding the scope of this story, and deepening the characters. I love how real they all feel to me, their actions predetermined by Fonda Lee's meticulous characterization of them. That's not to say that there aren't any surprises in store for the reader, but merely to admire her solid character work in this excellent novel. I cannot wait to read the third entry in this series.

Andrew Kishino's performance is fantastic as well, only adding to the story.

I loved it

This sequel truly lives up to the first book. So many unexpected twists and turns, I was left in constant nervous anticipation for what the final outcome would be. Excited to listen to the third book!

The performance was beyond excellent!

I have heard time and time again that each installment in the Green Bone Saga keeps getting better, but that is an UNDERSTATEMENT with Jade War!!!!
