Critic Reviews

"Full of thrills and tension, but smart and human, too. Kim Otto is a great, great character." (Lee Child, number one World Wide best-selling author of Jack Reacher Thrillers)

Disappointed

Would you try another book from Diane Capri and/or Corey M. Snow?

The reader did his best he didn't bring the book to life. Neither did the author. The story was ok but not in Lee Child's league by a long shot.

Has Jack in the Green turned you off from other books in this genre?

No, I'll just make sure I stick with, Lee Child when I reach for a Reacher.

Would you be willing to try another one of Corey M. Snow’s performances?

Not until he improves as a reader.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

None i can think of.

Any additional comments?

Readers should be trained voice actors. Editors should delete cliches and weak writing.

Rip Off

Would you try another book from Diane Capri and/or Corey M. Snow?

NO

Any additional comments?

These short stories are a rip off and dishonor the Lee Child Reacher series, will not buy another piece of this canned trash.

Green

I didn't care much for the book. It wasn't nearly as interesting as others and it was not to my liking.

Pointless and misrepresentation of Reacher

I struggled to stay interested in this story and was rewarded only by the conclusion of it. That's when the character's empty doggedness is exposed. Glad I didn't pay full price.

So is Jack Reacher ever showing up?

Both frustrating and somewhat enjoyable, this series seems to be more of a tease than anything else. As a Lee Child fan, I think I will re-read some if his books rather than download any more of these--just not satisfied.

The story was too short. I wanted more it was just starting to get real interesting and then the guy said that end. Bummer

bait and switch

The series is very thin, like a series of chapters rather than an entire book. It sort of meanders around with nothing going on. The story doesn't have anything to do with Jack Reacher. His name is frequently invoked but never joins the narrative. It's a pretty blatant RIP off.

Not what I expected.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

The readers of this book, a female and a male are extremely boring! The story is just about them and their search for Jack Reacher, so he never makes an appearance. I could only listen to half of it and I wanted to scream the narrative was so bad.

What was most disappointing about Diane Capri’s story?

The whole story.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Corey M. Snow?

Anyone but him.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Jack in the Green?

I wouldn't have approved it.

Good story I n the Reacher series....

Always like Capri's books, and this one is no exception....the ending was a bit of a twist, almost expected, but then dropped on the reader like a bombshell that was a little firecracker instead of the big grenade the story deserved. That said, I'll be reading more of her works...

Not as good as the previous novel…

Not the best in the series. Similarly as pedestrian as the previous novels and novelettes., except for number 4. Unfortunately, this Audible App is malfunctioning since the implementation of the current upgrade. It has made using the App very stressful.

Because of that, I wanted to keep going and not leave the story as currently, the Audible App is not reliable At All! It keeps crashing when you pause it and you have to re-download it from your library, taking up valuable time with the certain knowledge that none of your bookmarks have been saved.

The vagaries of this current App make listening to a novel far more arduous than comforting. My intention was to struggle through with this final book in this series. If the problem persists then, I'll have to cease my Audible membership and purchase novels via another App.

I know that I won't be a loss for the mighty Amazon, but life is too short to have to put up with shoddy services and I'm paying for these books! I have the right to enjoy the listening experience as well as the actual book & currently I cannot do so!

Audible/Amazon - please sort this out. You're no longer the only providers out there!

disappointed

have loved the other books even the short ones. I dont mind paying for a short story if it adds to a series this one didn't and the change of narrators threw me will keep going with series but hope some substance is added soon
