Publisher's Summary

Midlife is madness - magical, messy, and one freaking crisis after another.

With a new job I didn’t apply for and an extended family I didn’t know I had - midlife has become somewhat problematic. Gluing ghosts back together is easy compared to my new celestial occupation.

The Grim Reaper wants to put a ring on it. Tim wants to be a father. Candy Vargo has lost her damn mind, and Jennifer thinks we’re all sparkly vampires. I’ve been given an impossible task with catastrophic consequences for failure, but it wouldn’t be my midlife without another crisis.

What’s the saying? When in Crazytown, embrace the insanity or go insane. It’s time to lean into the madness. I’m putting down roots, pulling up my big-girl panties, and getting down to business. With one month to succeed, it’s time to grow a bigger pair of lady-balls and play in the big league.

The rules are unclear. However, when it’s a matter of midlife and death, I’m making the rules. And I will win.

What A Ride!!!

Wow! It's a Matter of Midlife and Death is an amazing next adventure of the trials and tribulations of Daisy and Gideon. I love the banter in these books and this one didn't disappoint, it was actually an over achiever!!! The task of trying to humanize immortal beings is a tall one for sure, but Daisy is up for it, even being very pregnant! As always, I finish and am dying for the next book, I need to know what happens!!!❤❤ Jessica Almasy does a freaking amazing job narrating these books! She's awesome, and combined with the brilliant Robyn Peterman, it's fan-freaking-tastic!!!!!!!❤❤❤

Only one critical remark

When this ended I was listening to it in my car and literally screamed “Noooooooooo!” As loud as I could. I really enjoyed this series and didn’t want it to end so soon and the thought that I need to wait till April of next year is even more terrible. By the end I started liking the angels more and more.

Hilarious

The only thing I did not like about this fantastic and Hilarious next in series was being interrupted while listening.
Robyn kicks it up a notch once again. bravo. Jessica Almasy does an amazing job with the characters voices.

Good, but rushed

A fantastic continuation of the series, but my main complaint with the entire series is that everything feels rushed and the characters aren't fully fleshed out. This issue continues in this book. It doesn't necessarily make the series unreadable/unlisten-to-able, but it does leave me wishing Robyn Peterman would take a bit of time to let us get to know the characters rather than just throwing action scene after action scene out.

Cute

I liked the story, fun and easy. At first I didn’t like the narrator, but after a while I didn’t notice. Worth a listen if you have the time.

I keep listening

Although it's repetitive. It reviews details over and over and over Again. Performance is great. This series could be one book but they are cutting it short so people keep buying. Crazy!

Absolutely hate cliffhangers

Robyn Peterman is one of my favorite authors; Jessica Almasy is a great narrator and makes the story come alive. This book could have been great but the cliffhanger at the end just soured the whole experience.

Enough with the Cliffhangers!

Dear Ms Peterman, your writing is good. I would come back even if there was no cliffhanger. 6 books in and I am still hanging on every word as the plot unfolds, but for the love of a good cocktail, let Daisy breathe! Let the story end with some resolution so we can imagine her having at least a week off before she needs to save all her friends and family again. Sheesh!

Auditory technicolour

I can't get enough of this. Jessica is brilliant with all the different voices and it's bringing the story to life in full auditory technicolour!
