What follows is a globe-trotting treasure hunt packed with riddles, secret societies, and black-market antiquities, with stops in Los Angeles, London, Scotland, and Paris. The chemistry between Amara and her bodyguard, Dante, is immediate, and their close-proximity adventure only intensifies their connection. Aside from the romance, I adored the theme of reclaiming what belongs back home. This book was fun and light. The narrators were excellent. I really enjoyed the story's premise, and I wished it were longer. I hope we get a follow-up. I will definitely listen to it again.

I love how Shenee unapologetically writes her Black female leads. This was such a fun and great listen. Amber Riley did not disappoint and Anthony Rey Perez is now another favorite male narrator added to my list.
