Publisher's summary

Okay, so it starts kind of like Hart to Hart.

He’s March November, a self-made millionaire and former legendary hit man who now runs Struthio Security, a wholly legitimate business catering to high-end clients in serious trouble - think being in the crosshairs of a Nigerian warlord.

He works with Island Chaptal, his girlfriend and partner. She used to be a computer engineer, but a lot of stuff happened, so now she’s his CTO and hacks poorly protected devices and fiber-optic cables for him, which kind of sounds like she slept her way to the top, but no, actually.

Together, Island Chaptal and Mr. November fight crime. Mostly. This time though, they’re rescuing Joy - Island’s BFF - who ended up in a Cancún jail after nearly killing her boyfriend’s side chica with a three-foot-tall birthday cake. Ancient aliens somehow get involved in this mess, and also a guy named Angel Somoza who hates sloths. There’s gunfights, frenetic capering from Cancún to Cairo, passionate sex, Roomba cats, and a lot of questionable science thrown in.

It’s the final chapter of the Spotless series and just another Monday for March and Island.

Wow! Just Wow!

So, if you are reading this and you haven't already read or listened to the first 4.5 books go buy those first. It is rare that an author and a narrator come together in such perfect harmony. Well Camilla and Amy have done just that. Camilla has built characters that make you laugh and have you on the edge of your seat with excitement and anxiety. Amy gave them the voice. These stories are the kind you read OVER and OVER! Now when I read them I hear Amy's voice. This book is an impressive finish to the series. You will enjoy Island and March as they get themselves into yet another predicament. This book definitely steps it up notch and Camilla Monk never disappoints!

Great fun - I love this series!

I'm so sad that this is the last of the series. I've really enjoyed the crazy adventures and romance of Island and March, and the narrator is fantastic. I highly recommend this series, but be sure to start with the first book, "Spotless," and read them in order.

Love, Love, Love!

10 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I adore Camilla Monk's humor and writing style. I have been waiting for this book to come out on audio and am thoroughly enjoying it.

Amy McFadden is my favorite comedic narrator. She has perfect timing and inflection and it all adds to the story.

This action packed story is told from the point of view of Island and her observations are hilarious. Even when she is in perilous situations her character's unique slant on life makes me laugh..

I am just sorry that this is the end of this series. I could hand another 20 or 30 editions and still don't think it would be enough... I hope Camilla has more series like this waiting in the wings. I will buy everyone!

Amazing series

Both writing and narrating are top notch. Only Camilla Monk can make me laugh, scream, and cry all in the same book. And Amy McFadden excels at giving life to so many different characters and accents. Truly a feat.

Hyperbolic hilarity

Amy McFadden’s over the top narration of the smarmy villains for each chapter’s romance novel snippet was the cheesiest comedy gold. The actual story is just gravy after that, and is kind of a honeymoon book, where listeners get to see what a united pair looks like after the HEA. It’s like Jewel of the Nile after Romancing the Stone; you tune in for the familiar and just to spend a bit more time in the sandbox with your favorites,

This final caper is silly and sweet and fun. There are a lot of recaps of Island’s previous perils and adventures as her BFF is finally inducted into the dangerous world of spies and Lions. It’s not as meaningful unless you’ve heard the four and a half books that came before, And, since books 1 thru 4.5 are available in a collection, you get great value starting at the beginning.
