Story
Hebrews speaks of a new and better covenant. It links old priesthoods to the priesthood of Christ. It looks at the nature and heroes of faith. In short, Hebrews roams a broad theological landscape, but its unifying premise remains: God speaks, and if we listen, his message to us revealed through Jesus will change and shape the lives we live. This was true for the original audience of Hebrews; it remains true for us today. In thought and deed, the word of God is the word we live by as believers.

Is there a new reformation happening in the church? It depends on who you ask. The New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) is a popular and fast-growing new movement of Christians who emphasize signs and wonders, and teach that God is giving new revelation through new apostles and prophets. But is this biblical Christianity? In Counterfeit Kingdom, apologists and NAR experts Holly Pivec and Douglas Geivett show how the NAR’s key tenets distort the gospel, twist the Scriptures, are influenced by New Age practices, and lead faithful Christians to shipwreck their faith.

Prophets are emphatically not seers who gaze into the future and predict far-off events; they are God’s spokesmen who always speak into their own historical context. Sometimes what they say may foreshadow messianic or “end time” events, but they always have an immediate historical reference. Understanding a prophet’s historical context is essential to understanding his message. Join Logos Bible Study’s Dr. Bill Creasy in this dazzling exposition of Isaiah, the first of the major prophets.

In this definitive biography, renowned Bible scholar, Anglican bishop, and best-selling author N. T. Wright offers a radical look at the apostle Paul, illuminating the humanity and remarkable achievements of this intellectual who invented Christian theology - transforming a faith and changing the world. For centuries, Paul, the apostle who "saw the light on the Road to Damascus" and made a miraculous conversion from zealous Pharisee persecutor to devoted follower of Christ, has been one of the church's most widely cited saints.

Story
The gospel has come under attack since the days of the Apostles. In first-century Galatia, false teachers were creeping into churches and convincing Christians that they had to keep the law of Moses to be saved. To call these churches back from the brink of destruction, the Apostle Paul wrote what is likely his earliest letter: an unyielding defense of God’s saving grace in Jesus Christ. In this volume, Dr. R.C. Sproul guides us through Paul’s passionate letter to the Galatians.

Daniel had the most incredible career imaginable; he was transported as a teenage captive to a pagan empire and became the primary confidante to the ruler of Babylon. When Babylonia was taken over by its enemies, he rose to the second or third position in the Persian Empire. There are only two people in the Bible other than Jesus Christ of which no evil is spoken, Joseph and Daniel.

Story
Institutes of the Christian Religion is John Calvin's seminal work on Protestant systematic theology. Highly influential in the Western world and still widely read by theological students today, it was published in Latin in 1536 and in his native French in 1541. The book serves as an introductory textbook on the Protestant faith for those with some previous knowledge of theology and covers a broad range of theological topics from the doctrines of church and sacraments to justification by faith alone and Christian liberty.

The Resurrection accounts of Jesus in the Gospels are the most dramatic and impactful stories ever told. One similarity unites each testimony - that none of his most loyal and steadfast followers could "see" it was him, back from the dead. The reason for this is at the very foundation of the Christian faith.

Publisher's Summary
The Zondervan Biblical and Theological Lectures series provides a unique audio learning experience. Unlike a traditional audiobook's direct narration of a book's text, Isaiah 1-39: Audio Lectures includes high-quality live recordings of college-level lectures that cover the important points from each subject as well as relevant material from other sources.
Isaiah wrestles with the realities of people who are not convicted by the truth but actually hardened by it and a God whose actions sometimes seem unintelligible, or, even worse, who appears to be absent. Yet Isaiah penetrates these experiences to see a greater reality. Isaiah portrays God's rule over history and his capacity to take the worst of human actions and use them for good. He declares the truth that even in the darkest hours, the Holy One of Israel is infinitely trustworthy.
Isaiah 1-39: Audio Lectures features Old Testament scholar John Oswalt teaching through the book of Isaiah in short, engaging, and challenging lessons. Based on Oswalt's Isaiah commentary in the NIV Application Commentary series, these lessons bring the meaning of Isaiah into the 21st century. As Oswalt works through the book passage-by-passage, he comments on the text itself and then explores issues in Israel's culture and in ours that help us understand the meaning of each passage.

Brilliant!
If you’re seriously interested in a study of the Old Testament book of Isaiah, this is an excellent commentary.
The author covers each chapter in round about 10 minutes and does so simply, accurately and yet deeply as well. I’ve used one chapter a day for the last 39 days and it’s been an experience in drawing closer to God and having a greater understanding of a book that can be quite difficult at times. Very highly recommended

Story
The ancient Toltecs believed that life, as we perceive it, is a dream. We each live in our own personal dream, and these come together to form the dream of the planet, or the world in which we live. Problems arise when our perception of the dream becomes clouded with negativity, drama, and judgment (of ourselves and others), because it's in these moments of suffering that we have forgotten that we are the architects of our own reality and we have the power to change our dream if we choose.
