Story
I returned to the city with one thing on my mind; find my nemesis and finish her. Nothing else mattered. Not the shadowy Organization I worked for. Not the Magic Council and their veiled threats. None of it. Just me and the witch locked into one final dance. But things weren’t exactly going to plan as I discovered a new, sinister threat. One that was trying to pry at the kind of locked doors that should never be opened, as well as driving a conspiracy to turn the entire world on its head.

Publisher's Summary
Lillian has lived her entire life by a script. Every move she makes, every word she speaks has been assigned to her by specific instruction. She hasn’t been free to express her true being in any way; trapped in a world of lies. She is a puppet, but she is also a Princess. But all that drastically changes when she is assigned into an arranged marriage, to a Prince from a faraway land. A soldier is appointed, with the duty of delivering this Princess to her new husband. Along this daring and extremely dangerous journey, Lillian is finally free to break those chains to find her true self-and her true love. She will also discover the strength inside herself, revealing the powers she possesses, powers she’d thought were only true in fairy tales. She must learn to contain these powerful forces before they spiral out of control. She’ll defy life and death many times along this journey. This submissive young lady will blossom into a true survivor, preparing herself for the epic battle that awaits her unforeseen future. Ultimately, she’ll find herself entangled in a forbidden-love story, a love that she believes could only cause harm and wreak havoc for many people. A love that could cause a war between two great nations, and force her to choose between her own desires or the lives of thousands of innocent people.
This audiobook is about survival, forbidden love, and unexplainable forces that are unnatural in our world. It takes Princess Lillian on her journey in becoming the hero she is destined to become, in the future series to come. Happy listening!

Overall a good book
I think the story of this was a really cool idea and the book was mostly well written, but randomly it would be as if the editor fell asleep for a paragraphs throughout the chapters. During these moments, whatever was happening would suddenly be overly described for like 10 minutes straight. I don’t mind detailed novels, but this was more of stating the same thing multiple different ways to see how it would sound best and then forgetting to take out all the extra ones so you’re left listening to a description of a thorn in her leg for like an hour. A lot of repetitive moments and words used within the same sentences, but that might just be a personal pet peeve. Other than that, I loved it. The romance is cute and it’s nice to watch her develop into an independent woman in a realistic way and not just becoming a heroine, despite having zero experience.
However, I STRONGLY disliked the narration. The microphone was a little off, so you have to listen to it a little lower in volume or the s’s hurt your ears and make you cringe a little. I could get past that if the voice of Brock wasn’t so damn awful. There’s nothing more depressing than when a male lead is described as strong and sexy with a low, deep voice, but the narrator chooses to turn him into sounding like a 12 year old cartoon character with a whack accent. Like what is his accent? Starts out southern then just morphs into...we’ll i don’t even know what it turns into. She’s also not great at a British accent, so going back and forth for hours between the two makes it a little hard to listen to at times.

Without a doubt an outstanding new series!
This is an excellent book. It's very well written and the world building is very well done. Once I got sucked into the story, it was hard to put it down. I felt like I was part of the story and was in it.
Narration was great and brought the story to life.
There is quite a bit of suspense and stressful situations. It is an incredible journey. I can’t believe how much growth they both go through. There is no major cliffhanger, which is a huge plus. I’m looking forward to finding out what will happen next.

Great listen
This was a great listen and so fun! I absolutely loved the romantic elements of the story, and how powerful
The complexity of Lillians situation is. I completely became enthralled with the story and couldn’t push pause. The author did a fantastic job at setting the pace of the story and showing what was going on instead of telling. It was pretty magical. The characters are well thought out and unique, and they are definitely brought to life by the high quality narration, which gives audiences the ability to sit back and become Immersed in this new world. I absolutely loved it and am eagerly awaiting book two! I received this title for free but chose to review it on my own.

Great
This is an absolute must read! Wow! I loved the creativity of Lillian’s situation, and watching the story unfold. The author does an incredible job at keeping things going and guiding the listener through the story seamlessly without leaving room for any boredom. The story is fast paced and exciting, and the setting is uniquely done and well described. I really enjoyed the beginning of this series and look forward to what comes next!
