Publisher's summary

Four sci-fi romance stories about women meeting the man/alien of their dreams.

Love Invasion When Rachel breaks the news to her boyfriend that she's pregnant with his child, the last thing she expects is for him to break up with her. He doesn't get the opportunity to leave her, though, before the invasion of earth by Vendi - large, muscular aliens bent on rounding up women and taking them to their spaceships.

Big Bang Alien Love Affair Lady Larissa Kuttivadapa is a privileged human living on planet Jax-9. At 36 years old, she is so bored with her love life that she scopes out potential partners from the clear ceiling of the night club she runs. While she sees plenty of handsome men dancing, she longs for something more.

Biomechanical Hearts Stella runs her business selling "pleasure robots" with organization and efficiency. But the stress of running a business under the thumb of her ex-boyfriend's gangster operation can leave her tense, so she's not ashamed to sample the pleasures offered by her own merchandise from time to time. When one of her pleasure bots disappears from her bed while she's sleeping, an awkward game of hide and seek ensues.

Invasion of the Heart Vinzel's home planet of Rhouge has been stricken with a virus, killing off all the women of his species. Now he's tasked with the impossible: find a human woman to mate with, conceive a child, and bring them both back to Rhouge to see if they'll survive in his planet's conditions. It sounds difficult enough, but he's surprised to discover that he's actually falling in love with the beautiful woman he's selected.

good for a short listen

it was good for what it was but I did not like the first short story. it just wasn't for me. the rest were good but not great. the stories felt to short and some of the character's felt to dry. the performance was good. all in all it still was a fun listen.

Invasion

Any additional comments?

Hmmm….well lets see. What did I just listen to….. Mostly enjoyable collection of short stories. Stories 2 thru 4 are good, quick short stories. With a little more story they could have been really good.

1st story. - What? Why? Alien men kidnapping and raping woman to further their species. One decent Alien and a human woman find a connection.

2nd - Okay short story about a human woman who is attracted to an Alien man. But he won't sleep with her. He has his reasons. Deals with Prejudices between species.

3rd story - Good short story. A woman who tests out pleasure robots for her clients. She gets something a little different in one of her shipments.

4th story - The best of the bunch. Alien who is sent to earth to impregnate a woman have a child and return to his planet with the woman and child. He falls in love with her and wants to protect her and his child.

Audrey Lusk does he narration for this set of short stories. She does a good job with the narration. She conveys the emotions of the characters. Different voices for each of the characters. As the stories went on her narration got better. Her narration for the last story was the best. The male voices for the first story were just terrible and hard to listen to. It's just a personal thing, but I have a hard time listening to her narrations for long periods of time, but for short stories it's fine.

Not bad, but not great

The stories are pretty hot, but the narrator's voice is nasal and just really annoying. also, this is a collection of short stories not one story as the summary suggested.

Multiple stories, some better than others, but not greats. It's good to support indie authors working hard to share their stories and who need their "seasoning". I like Audrey Lusk best reading Rescued by Tordin, an Olodian Alien Warrior book. It's so campy, but has elements of Buckaroo Bonzai, to my opinion.

Story was Cute

I received this audio book free for an honest review. I thought this was a cute book. I enjoyed the story, but I really don't care for the narrator. I cringe every time I want to listen to a book that I think might be good and find out that Audrey Lusk is reading it. I'm afraid that it makes my impression of the story jaded as well. I enjoyed the light reading, just not the narrator. Ugh!!!!

A Collection of Short Stories..

Any additional comments?

This was Not My Cup of Tea, and the main story ended on a Cliff Hanger.

The aliens were violent, insensitive, and were rapists.

There was no reason for them to kill the women during the "mating" and there was not enough background / history about the aliens / their technology.

The male lead, Argo, wasn't as bad as the other aliens but I didn't really want him and
Rachel to end up together, I was kinda hoping she could get back to Earth.

I'm sorry, without any revisions to the story, I would not recommend this book.

Audrey Lusk did a good job with the narration.

brutal sadistic rape, the Manson family romance

Any additional comments?

The scenes were graphically violent with brutal rape to rival the Manson family. Just don't go there.
