Publisher's summary

The flames danced like madness in the wanderer’s eyes.

He’d faced the monster posing as Soldier in combat, and he had won.
But at what cost?

Forty-seven villagers of Alhs dead. So many that they could not bury them all and so they had looked to the old ways.

They had looked to the flames.

Forty-seven.

They had been people yesterday. Today, they were nothing but memory. Nothing but ash drifting away on the wind, disappearing into the night.

Mourners surrounded the pyre. In the shifting glow of the blaze their faces looked alien, strange. As they looked at him, each in their time, he felt their judgment, their hatred.

And they were right to judge, to hate, for their pain, their travails had only just begun. Bereft of the barrier that had protected them from the Untamed Lands, the villagers of Alhs would be forced to venture into the wilderness, to brave the many dangers awaiting them there.

But not all dangers lay ahead.

The creature who had taken Soldier’s place was dead, but there were others of its kind, and they knew where the wanderer was now.

They knew...
And they were coming.
With the ashes of the dead still settling upon the ground, the wanderer does the only thing he can do. He leads the villagers further into the wilderness, to a place where monsters roam and magical creatures out of nightmare lurk in the shadows.

He leads them into the Untamed Lands.

Into the Untamed Lands is book three in Jacob Peppers's bestselling epic fantasy series, The Last Eternal. The deepness and flaws of the characters

I have really enjoyed this series so far, where the heroes are not above everyone, but have the flaws, doubts, and pauses as regular folk.

Great Listen

I enjoy the premise of the series and the general writing style of Jacob Peppers. I will be eagerly awaiting the next book!

General feedback- the story is good and the development of the progression is very entertaining. Only con is sometimes the dialogue falls short of the situation - odd comments and some historical information doesn’t always flow or match the significance of the situation being presented. It gives the impression the struggle, fight or battle is where all the creative thought went into and the dialogue wasn’t given as much consideration.

Wonderful Epic Fantasy

I have really enjoyed this series. I can tell this is going to be a very large series, as there is clearly so much more to happen, but the slow build up of the MC, has me truly committed to seeing it through to the end. The author has done a great job of character building, one honestly, I think far surpassing that of other authors like Brandon Sanderson, or Patrick Rothfuss, two of my most favorite authors. Although the MC is a little bland in personality, I don’t hold that against him, if anything it makes him more relatable. I too am bland in personality and it is refreshing not being overwhelmed by a overdone character. The mixing of western and fantasy is an interesting combination I didn’t think would work at first, but I am enjoying it for its unique approach. The narrator is fantastic, and really nails each character perfectly. Well done Michael Kramer, another excellent performance. Although I do love the series, I do hope it starts to pickup in the progression of the tale. The long lead into the story has worked for me so far, building the character of the MC. We are there now, so I do hope this doesn’t turn into a 10 + book series. I am ready for some epic battles and a little romance and a conclusion and hope I don’t have to wait 10 years. PTSD from Rothfuss? Maybe…

The journey is just beginning

I really wish these were longer because you get pulled in and it’s hard to stop.

The evolution of the story.

I'd like the story to move faster. There's too much suffering- not enough joy.
