Into the Deep

A J.D. Blunt Thriller, Book 1

By: R.J. Patterson

Narrated by: Dwight Kuhlman

Tropical paradise or dangerous battleground?

Basking in the Caribbean sun during his retirement, J.D. Blunt, the former director of a U.S. covert agency, thought his days of intrigue were behind him. But when strange shipments of illegal weapons begin surfacing on islands across the region, Blunt receives an urgent call from an old friend requesting help. Someone is planning an attack on American soil, and Blunt is the only one with the connections to find out who's behind it.

Reluctantly trading lazy days fishing for the gritty underworld of black market arms deals, Blunt dredges up old contacts from his spy days. He follows a trail of cryptic clues pointing to a shadowy group of mercenaries gearing up for their deadliest operation yet. Outnumbered and outgunned, Blunt races against the clock to uncover their target and motive, pitting his wits against a lethal new breed of adversary. Failure means death and destruction on an unimaginable scale. And Blunt must go to whatever lengths necessary to ensure that doesn't happen.
