A must read for every college student!

This is such a great book that includes everything a student needs to land that sought after internship. Although directed towards technical roles, all the same rules apply to other fields.

I worked for many years as one of the HR reps Ryan refers to in his book. I also wondered why some students were very prepared in their search for an internship while others didn’t seem to know where to start. He is a great leader and his interns received a great experience if they were on one of his teams. I love that he included some personal experience that all college students should hear about budgeting.

Internship Mastery should be required reading for all students and anyone searching for a job. As a former IT Manager working for a fortune 500 company, I highly recommend Internship Mastery because there’s a tendency for people to think that interviewing is common sense and just a matter of luck. Unfortunately, most people give more thought to preparing for a party than preparing for an interview. Over a 10-year period, I personally interviewed and hired a bunch of college aged candidates for various IT positions. Since this book is written from the perspective of a hiring manager, it shows you step-by-step the often-overlooked secrets to getting an interview, being remembered, and ultimately getting the perfect internship. Internship Mastery is an excellent, straight-forward, blueprint for the people who want to fast-track their careers and who are motivated to take action. Spoiler Alert! Part 3 and Part 4 are solid gold. You’ll get some valuable tips and tricks that explain how average people become super-successful. I believe that If you want to succeed, then you need to become a life-long learner and learn how to live your life by design; otherwise you are destined to be a drifter.
