oof

wow this was a feat to finish. never have I herd so many interesting topics that I am familiar with and enjoy learning or talking about be explained in such a boring over drawn and flowery fashion.

the book goes on and on, repeating it's self over and over, saying in 40 words what it could say in 5.

not to mention the VERY in your face Christian based faith approach and the baby boomer style message of "technology bad." I'm sure some of which will turn some people off to dreams and meditation entirely if this is their only exposure.

the author also self indulges far too often in telling the reader about their own dreams rather then constructing a dream with a specific meaning and then working backwards.

Carl Jung and Carl Rogers have many fine writings on this matter and I recommend you read up on both, absolutely brilliant Psychologists who had a love and passion for humanity but didn't speak like aliens.

I threw out my dream dictionaries

Wow, so much to take in on this book, I can't imagine reading it vs. listening to it, but boy is this jammed pack. I wouldn't say this is for everyone, you can really get lost quickly with all the jargon...certainly not a test of intelligence but how much you can absorb as an auditory learner. I will keep plugging away at this book but I'm not sure I will finish it.

Great content with a pleasure to listen narration

This book is a must-have for anyone interested in Jungian psychology, especially for people who want to do shadow work or any other kind of inner work to achieve self-actualization / individuation.

It's also great if you're just interested in analysing your dreams, because it teaches the basic principles of Jungian psychology, without going overboard with the details of the theories and getting boring for a layman, but still gets you interested in reading more.

The narration is a real pleasure to listen to.

I like the book but I don’t like the file

I really dont like when chapters are nameless. It is hard to find to figure out the structure of the book, and certainly complicated to listen something again.

A journey Inward

This was a fantastic and easy to follow instruction, and experience into the inner world. Something I will definitively use as I go a long. It's also a book I think I will relisten to, over and over again.
The narrator was easy and comforting to listen to, while the journey of this book unfolded.

A regrettable purchase

When I am looking for books along these lines I am looking to learn something new and be able to apply it in my life. This book provided none of this.

I had no problem with the narrator whatsoever.

In my minds eye I imagine the author trying to sell this book. After listening to 3/4 of it (I couldn’t stomach to finish it) I imagine Simon Cowell responding with a sneer in a heavy British accent “Indulgent!”.

This book was a long and protracted ego trip of the author and provided nothing of substance.

Worthwhile

I am grateful for this audio book, it has helped me reconnect with my dreams and improve my analysis. I do not agree with many things the author wrote, nonetheless, there was plenty of content I found valuable.

Informative and Engaging

I found the theory and the concepts presented in a clear and understandable way. I also found my personal imagination had a space to play with these ideas as I listened. Great work

Great

Rare to find such an accessible and practical introduction to some of Jung's ideas. If there were more full length R.A. Johnson books on audible I'd have no hesitation buying them.

Superb!

A well narrated self-help book that’s easy to follow. Worth listening a few times and then as and when to recap and do the exercises.

Helped me to shift my conscious thinking and work towards embracing my WHOLE self. Thank you.

You might not understand this book

It is an excellent attempt to teach and enlighten the close minded people to wake them up from the one rigid reality to other possibilities thus to make them emphatic and respectful to other individuals as deserving & equal human beings as anyone.
