Great Book, Amazing Narrator!

I absolutely adore this book. I really fell in love with the characters and their journey. Eva Christensen is such a great narrator. She made this audiobook so enjoyable!

I'm late to the party but I loved loved this book! The character development is incredible! I love love love it

Unrealistic

Where do I start. I was drawn to the stories description of a geeky lesbian, I can relate to that. Regan is like me, a shy geeky gamer who gets dragged out to social investments that aren’t easy to be in. She gets picked up by Mel and “hit it off”. The story is taken place in less then two months and feels completely rushed. I think a lot of this could have taken place in a longer time. That way the roller coaster of I’m yours for ever then I’m not good enough not feel over done in such a short time. Yes lots of sex happens, one seen lost me with a simple word. Its got cute moments too. I actually am in the middle of changing jobs myself so It’s a stereo typical uhal lesbian cliché love story that only happens in stories. But the Geek gets her girl so I have to give some stars for that. Narrator did a good job. Not my favorite book but not the worst.

Another intriguing Meghan O’Brien novel: danger, family strife, & an unexpected red-hot romance

The author usually channels fascinating characters confronting serious dilemmas. But this novel cranks up the volume: A beautiful, 25-year-old, motorcycle-riding Detroit cop who specializes in one-night stands picks up a shy, pretty redhead who’s a total geek computer wiz at a straight bar, the scene of the cop’s sorority sister’s pre-wedding party. But instead of a one-night stand, the two opposites discover they have a lot in common including surviving abuse as teens for being gay, being totally absorbed in their jobs, wry senses of humor, tons of self doubt, and a commitment to helping others. The only predictable thing in this book is that the cop and the geek eventually fall in love. A great read that confronts a lot of issues through the eyes of the protagonists. Did I mention that their chemistry is of the sheet-scorching variety?
