The book has the power to instill hope where there is little or none remaining.
If you are a pharmacist, and not fully content with your career, this book is for you.
If you are burntout of healthcare, pharmacy, and all things related, this book is for you.
If you daydream of retirement only to realize you still have ways to, this book is for you.
If you recently graduated and already wish you had chosen a different career path, this book is for you.
If you think you are perfectly happy with your career in pharmacy, well... chances are soon you won’t be (or you will meet many others who are not). So yes! This book is also for you!
I came across Alex Barker’s name and Indispensable by mere accident a few months ago and boy am I glad I did! From the first page I was hooked. Listening to this audiobook I laughed, got teary eyes, and even found myself talking out loud to no one!
It’s one of those books that I wish I had bought the print version, so that I could have highlighted all that resonated with me (pretty much the whole book).
I highly recommend it to every pharmacist out there.
It will brighten your day, and your week. It may also even change your life for the better!

Great read for pharmacists and non-pharmacists alike!
Much like the author, I’m a self-proclaimed “bad pharmacist”. I wish I had read this book before I left the profession - it could have (maybe, possibly) changed my mind. Then again, maybe not - but at least I would have know I wasn’t alone in my frustrations!
Told with humor and empathy, this is a book for anyone at a professional or personal crossroads in their life. A thoroughly enjoyable read!
