Inspiration for the burned out physician

If you are a physician who has questioned if you can continue working in the “healthcare” system as it is today, this book is for you. It’s a great introduction to a different mindset where you can: still take care of others while allowing yourself to cherish autonomy, discover the elusive balance we all seek, build out your creative side and create and even side income if you so choose!

Required reading/listening for doctors

Dr.Una is an inspiration to all doctors, even for those still trapped in the fee for service insurance models. I opened my direct primary care last year and have been blessed with success so far. Now I want to share that experience with other local doctors. I’m going to use Dr. Una’s methods to help other doctors escape the chains of insurance-based healthcare. inspiring!

I've thought vaguely about doing something other than clinical medicine for a long time. I've done works of love writing free blogs and volunteering to teach teens with ADHD on a regular basis for our local CHADD chapter. I have been a guest speaker on a few podcasts, but I've never been closer to taking that final scary step of starting my own business. I already have been working (for free) towards my passion for helping a defined audience, but have been unsure what to do next to be able to step back from my money earning clinical career to allow more time to devote to my passion. Dr. Una is truly inspiring. I felt as if she spoke to me directly this entire audiobook, as I'm sure others will feel as well.

While all of the concepts in this book aren't for me personally I was still able to take away very important pieces of information to help me with my practice. Very easy to read and apply her methods. I recommend this book to any physician whether in private practice or employed.
