I rarely rate books but this needed a rating.

This book is a perfect pairing for those who have watched the Netflix series Making a Murderer and felt the outrage. I know why it stirred up so many feelings of frustration about what appeared to be unjust action taken towards Steven Avery. While watching all I could think was that could be anyone, that could be me, so easily having freedom and your voice stripped away in fear of saying the wrong thing. However I find myself to be someone who needs truth and all sides of the story. Micheal Griesbach satisfied any lingering questions I had after watching the series and is a great author to boot. Perfect choice of narrator also.

I went from not guilty to most likely guilty

This book was very slow and at times it was as if the writer was calling anyone who thought Avery was not guilty was an idiot. The writer constantly seems to be defending the police officers as if they are infallible. The book only got to the point in the last hour . It presented full transcripts from Brenden's confession which is the point I swayed from not guilty to ummm it's definitely possible this guy did it. I wouldn't waste your time buying this book just google full court transcripts, it will be a much better read .

A Fact-based Account of the Avery Case

Finally, an account that is not riddled with splicing and biased evidence. The author shows the evidence in full, even if the evidence doesn’t show the police in the most positive light. Making a Murderer used the current temperature of our nation to fool us all. Thank you for setting the facts straight.

Agree with others - unbiased and interesting!!

As others, I watched "Making a Murderer" and was not completely convinced of Steven Avery's innocence, but not 100% convinced he did it either. ?? I was left wondering about other scenarios. This unbiased story with ALL the facts presented makes me feel like the jury got it right. There may be a lingering question here or there, but I still believe this book has all the facts & is the most unbiased view of everything. I knew things were conveniently LEFT OUT of the Netflix documentary. They can weave the story any way they want. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants the truth & had the same questions I did after watching the series.

Gives a prosecutor's version

Well this gives the state's case plus inadmissible evidence. Not very great. Its worth a listen.
