Loved Abe and Sloane

In the final book of the Codex series, Abe goes to London to hunt down the book their they have been looking for since the first book in this series and he meets Sloane who has been hired to find the same man. I loved the chemistry and tension between the Abe and Sloane as they worked together. When they bring in the the Codex team I love the family dynamic of the team and how they accept Sloane.

This book is narrated by John Masterson and Anastasia Watley. Both narrators were new to me and I enjoyed their performances and they way they brought Abe and Sloane to life. This was a great wrap up to the series and I will miss the Codex team.

What a magnificent book this is! Once again Kathryn Nolan brings us a beautiful story full of passion, longing, secret rooms, mysterious clues, and bigger-than-life characters.

Romantic Suspense at it’s Best!

Simply Extraordinary!!!
That’s the first thought that comes to mind after finishing this phenomenal book.
I have fallen in love with the Codex team since the very beginning and could not wait to read Abe’s story. The intrigue, deception, manipulation and clandestine activities of the International antiquities thieves. The secret societies, hiding in plain sight, behind a publicly recognized and celebrated successful persona of an expert in the very field they rob of priceless historical works of art.
The coming together of a team of experts to combat this corrupt upper echelon of society that considers themselves untouchable, bringing them to justice and recovering treasures of our past to preserve them for future generations.
The Codex series is the absolute best in romantic suspense, I could not put this book down and cheered for Abe and Sloane as they found a way to each other, overcoming their emotionally difficult younger years and upbringing, learning to trust and love and share in those feelings, so foreign to both of them.
The narration is phenomenal and brings the story alive around you - I felt like a part of the team!

I loved Abraham’s and Sloane’s reluctant partnership and recognizing that together, and with the assistance of the entire Codex team, they’ll be unstoppable in achieving the ultimate goal of capturing the mastermind behind the rare books thefts - the puppeteer of the antiquities secret criminal underworld.
In the Clear is a dream come true for all romantic suspense enthusiasts - it’s a perfect mixture of love, drama, humor, swoon, steam and romance with intricate web of deception and mystery woven throughout the emotional fabric of this remarkable story.

Abe and Sloane

I think this one was my favorite of the series though they all had their unique story of intrigue. The Strong capable woman with a crappy childhood and the stoic workaholic with his own issues come together and learn to trust and solve a decade old case and bring a con artist and theif to justice. Bringing in the whole Codex team, made it work.The slow burn and sexual tension heightened the story so when they finally connected it was explosive and heart changing and life altering and they both got their well deserved HEA.

Too much about gay romance

I purchased this as contemporary romance but felt like it’s about gay romance and not m/f romance. My first and last for this author. Good thing I got it on sale.
