Publisher's Summary

Everything you thought you knew – is wrong!

Agent Ren Dyer wakes up in a hospital room with her lover Andrea Fielding by her bedside, but not all is as it seems when Andrea appears distant, and not at all like the lover she has come to depend upon.

With no recollection of what has happened, Ren must rely on those around her to explain, but when the explanation makes no sense, what can she do?

Walking out of the hospital, she comes face-to-face with a new reality, a familiar one that leaves her lost and confused. And now she must regain the love of Andrea Fielding all over again.

I am in awe

The two Dyer books have a trick and I am not going to tell you about it, but this set left me in awe.
This book here is wonderful, well written, wonderful characters, lots of surprises. And a happy end.
Loved it.

Circumstances change, often they bring you home.

The realization that the life you were living was only a dream is what Ren wakes up to. Andrea is there but everything has changed. Ren must make sense of a dream life, where she felt and knew love, that is gone. As she puts together the peices of her dream into her present life, even she could not have seen the life it would lead to. This second book in the Dyer story turns the world of the first book into a coming home story. A child who never felt love opened her heart to more love than her adult self would have hoped for. Claire Highton Stevenson takes the reader on a winding journey of self discovery. IT is a passionate love story that sees our main character finally realize that deep love, hot connection and unbrideled passion. The love Andi and Ren share carry them throughout the magnificent twists and plot surprises that made me love this story so much. Sarah Kempton brought the characters to life and helped me feel each emotion our characters experienced. This is my second read, first listen to a story that brought tears, laughter and a deep sense of connection. It can be read alone and reading the first In Dyer Need only adds to its depth. I loved it.

Trapped in a reality that is fantastical or a fantasy that is realistic?

The difference between the first chapter and the final chapter is so different but so amazing in how they intertwine to be an awesome story that is a MUST listen to! I highly recommend this story and just know that to share ANY details would ruin the essence of awesome that Claire Highton-Stevenson created. It is unparalleled in my experience!

Harsh At First, but worth it.

The beginning hurt to hear but man was this book lovely. Completely different from the first book, but the journey is beautiful. Ren and Andrea are probably my favorite Lesbian Romance couple. Just perfect.

Special

When I finished this 2nd chapter of Ren’s life come full circle, I was both sad and fulfilled. Fulfilled because of the story and how well it is written and how the story laid out. There was no made up angst, no drama that usually accompanies this genre. This was a simple story of a woman who captures her life back and has the ability to forgive and absorb all that was left for her to grow on. I was sad because although it ended in a completed story and in a good place, I want to know so much more of these characters and how their lives build. The writing enabled me to feel these women and actually believe in them and see their lives unfold. There is nothing sexier than a powerful woman in the world of politics and Andrea was all encompassing. Truly a great story and no, although you do not need to read “Dyer Needs” before this, I think it would be a disservice to yourself if you did not. The 2 books totally engrossed you in their story and feeling the emotions and allowed you to see the entire picture. I would hope to see a new chapter at some point as I think that Ren and Andrea could be wonderful role models for the future and family. Well done!

Sequel is surprising and satisfying

Be sure to listen to book one first! Great plot twist! And I won’t provide any spoiler here. Enjoy!

A Desenting Voice ( Spoiler alert!)

A lot of the reviews are very positive. I beg to disagree. Being from the US, I remember my mother watching Dallas and being involved with the mystery of "Who shot J.R.?" The answer was no one, it had just been a dream! So I was so disappointed in this book.
I was all set for a continuation of a great sci-fi story building a world post-apocalypse. After the discovery that Ren was in a coma, the rest became , well predictable. It unfolded in a predictable manner and went beyond to give a story and ending that, to me, was sickly sweet. The narration was excellent but it couldn't save this book.

Incredibly written!

I read and listen to a lot of books, almost all of them are lesbian books. This is by far the most well written, interesting and exciting book that I have ever read. I can't wait to read more.

Outstanding follow-up to In Dyer Need!

I love, love, love when a book truly surprises me and this was the case here. In Dyer Circumstances is the follow up to In Dyer Need and it is vital you read/listen to the first before the second. While Need is an apocalyptic adventure/romance, Circumstances changes gears and is something completely different. How and why I won't disclose, but trust me - you need to have the experience. Narrator Sarah Kempton is terrific and this audiobook is definitely going on my favorites list. I'm so impressed with what Claire Highton-Stevenson did here. Just excellent! A solid 5 stars.

Really enjoyed it...

I liked book 1. I LOVED book 2! I really liked the direction the Dyer story took. It was unexpected after the first one ended, and this one began. I was not disappointed. Good narration. Good second half. Kudos!

whoarr I wasn't expecting that!

Sooo good! Absolutely loved the first book for all its slight zombie apocalypse vibes but this one flips it all in the air and slaps you in the face as it falls into its new place. Really well written, cleverly interwoven story and totally unexpected. Oh and feelings, overcoming tragedy, and sexy bits. Loved it.

Absolutely brilliant. a MUST read

I am so sad this book had to end, but what a story. Every emotion felt as you realise everything you thought was true in the first book is thrown in the air, leaving you in awe how this story turns out. I love the narrators voice - Sarah Kempton and all the characters she brings to life. all in all a MUST read and a huge well done to the author. shame it's the final chapter.
