Publisher's Summary

Deception. Risk. Betrayal. Redemption. Master storyteller Scott Westerfeld is at the top of his game, and back to his most famous realm.

Frey and Rafi are inseparable.... two edges of the same knife. But Frey's very existence is a secret. Frey is Rafi’s twin sister - and her body double. Their powerful father has many enemies, and the world has grown dangerous as the old order falls apart. So while Rafi was raised to be the perfect daughter, Frey has been taught to kill. Her only purpose is to protect her sister, to sacrifice herself for Rafi if she must.

When her father sends Frey in Rafi’s place as collateral in a precarious deal, she becomes the perfect impostor - as poised and charming as her sister. But Col, the son of a rival leader, is getting close enough to spot the killer inside her. As the deal starts to crumble, Frey must decide if she can trust him with the truth... and if she can risk becoming her own person.

With Impostors, master storyteller Scott Westerfeld returns with a new series set in the world of his mega-bestselling Uglies - a world full of twist and turns, rebellion and intrigue, where any wrong step could be Frey’s last.

Perfect

I love this story, it's perfectly set in the same universe as Uglies but with a total new spin! Plus the voice actress it AMAZING, she uses different voices for each of the characters and she does amazing.

OMG Scott Westerfeld, write more books immediately!

As a big fan of the first four books in the Uglies series, I was not disappointed by Imposters in the least. My only frustration is that I'm left hanging on a cliff. I will definitely be checking out the next one. For anyone who liked this, the Zeros series is also a good read.

The only book I ever returned, it wasn't the voice

kinda felt like a confused hunger games to me. I just couldn't get into it. I'm a super fan of the voice actress so it wasn't her.

Pretties Again

Loved it and can't wait for the following books. There's a new main character whose story we follow but I do feel as though it is very similar to the original Pretties story with Tally: A loyal, strong female character has an epiphany causing her to rebel and team up with a boy who, together, help each other achieve a shared goal. Still amazing story, writing and narration.

Amateurish

One of the things that stands out is the lack of characterisation snd weak plotting. One example where I rolled my eyes is when she's trying to convince others to join her plan. There is resistance as there is supposed to be (conflict) but then the others almost immediately give in: saying It's good enough for me' Well, this book is not good enough, and I will proudly return it. It's not a compelling story or character. I was kind of expecting it to be bad (hoping it would be good) but it exceeded my expectations on not just the story being weak but on how amateurish the writing is. It's like we are being made fun of and told with a grin: the lie that b'cuz he (being famous) wrote it. Well, that doesn't fly with me: he can have his book back, and good riddance.

A bit weak

Didn't match my expectations from the uglies, I am a bit older now though. It just did not seem very well developed all the way through

AMAZING

I LOVED THIS! Amazing story.. I enjoyed it even more than the original Uglies series. The narrator was fantastic, and really added a lot of value to the listener experience. I really admired how her vocal tone varied throughout the story evoking the emotion of each character. it was absolutely spectacular and I cannot wait for book two!
