Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. A master storyteller at his best - the O. Henry Prize winner Stephen King delivers a generous collection of stories, several of them brand-new, featuring revelatory autobiographical comments on when, why, and how he came to write (or rewrite) each story. Magnificent, eerie, utterly compelling, these stories comprise one of King's finest gifts to his constant fan. "I made them especially for you," says King. "Feel free to examine them, but please be careful. The best of them have teeth."

can't stand the sounds
there's too many mouth noises, chewing, swallowing. it distracts from the enjoyment of the story when you're cringing every 5 seconds because of noises. at times the sound effects drown out the actual words. the story itself was great, but the overall enjoyment was lessened by the sound effects

Spectacular! Highly recommended!
I listen to MANY audiobooks, and only comment/review just a few.
First, to call this an “audiobook” doesn’t give it justice since this is a full cast recording with soundtrack and sound effects. Hats off to the Foley studio & sound editing… brilliantly done!
I found it fascinating that were many similar productions would describe some the action, in this work some of the action was provided all in the background (and in some case foreground) sound effects. The pacing and dialogue were right on, and the only bad thing is that now that I know this kind of thing is out there — I need to find MORE! Suggestions welcomed.

Good performance
The performance was good, however, some of the dialogue was difficult to understand due to background sound effects. I was looking forward to this and was disappointed, it was not scary, and it didn't show much of what happens to society when the world implodes which is what I expect in my dystopia fiction. This may be because it was so short. Because this is more like an old time radio show there was very little character development and not much happens.

Unable to Finish
I had high expectations for this audiobook, based on the description of the story, the cover art, and what I now consider to be highly questionable ratings. Unfortunately, I was unable to make it through the entire performance, in large part due to the excessive use of reverberation in the dialogue, and the heavy use of background sound effects. I fall into a category of audiobook listeners who is a senior adult with hearing aids. There are millions of us all over the world! For many of us in this category of listeners, the reverberation and background sound effects during the narrations by the actors results in much of the story, and the anticipated enjoyment of the book to be lost. Maybe Audible should consider affixing a "caution" for offerings such as this, that the book "May be challenging for those who rely on hearing aids."

Post Apocalyptic Britain
Well written and good performances, a few reviews mentioning background noise or loud noises but with any good audio drama listen with earphones as I thought the audio and production was of a really high quality. Nice enough length to create a world and story without dragging it out so definitely worth a listen.

Silly
Love me a good post-apocalypse story, love a good horror so I should have loved this…but it throws you right into the thick of it, no world building first and so it’s very hard to believe in the universe you’re being presented with. And so I found it just silly and didn’t have any relationship with the characters at all so didn’t care about them or believe in the situation they found themselves in.

Perfect, I'm addicted into it!
100% love the sound effect!
"A story of apocalypse, horror, and adventure, Impact Winter is a wholly original new saga created just for Audible with immersive 3D audio that dares you to pop in your earbuds and listen in the dark."
100% true with goosebumps!
100% love the story, understandable and easy to follow. I can even remember the characters.
+ 100 point coz I'm a fan of vampire story.
100% love how the full cast narrated it. Good job, this is perfect!
FYI, I even listen to the end credits ( can't put down my ear buds) coz I want more please 🧛♀️.
Thanks Audible for this amazing experience listening to audiobook. 🔥

Harry Potter meets Twilight
I realise I am in the minority but that was (in my humble opinion) pretty rubbish. Cliched and with unrealistic characters, it just didn't work for me. The sound effects were unnecessary and I felt the whole thing was amateurish - the story. the characters and the delivery. I'm a huge fan of apocalyptic fiction but this was definitely not that, more fantasy than survivalist.

Story
Wily, charming Kuni Garu, a bandit, and stern, fearless Mata Zyndu, the son of a deposed duke, seem like polar opposites. Yet in the uprising against the emperor, the two quickly become the best of friends after a series of adventures fighting against vast conscripted armies, silk-draped airships, and shapeshifting gods.
