Publisher's Summary

Our hero wakes to find himself in the body of one of his favorite Isekai anime characters. In this new world, the hero is a once-in-a-hundred-year prodigy, a master Arcanist, and is blessed by the god of magic himself!

He has a harem of beautiful women at his beck and call, an Empire under his control, and the most powerful Arcana Spirits the world has ever seen.

Sounds great, right? Well, there's just one problem.... Our hero isn't *the* hero.

Our hero is the bad guy with a tragic ending.

Armed with only his knowledge of the anime and the body of 11-year-old Aren Ulvani, can our hero turn his life around, or will the events of the anime come to pass regardless of what he does?

Surprisingly good! Only 1 problem!

The story is well paced, power levels are slowly formed instead of info dumped, the world building is gradual with what little there is, and the characters are fun and interesting. The only problem is to short. I want more!

Marvelous

Was skeptical at first, but I couldn’t keep myself from listening. I was really disappointed that is was so short, however it was so worth it. Can’t wait for the next one.

Not long enough

I wish this book was longer. The length is the book is not my only complaint though. The narration is sort of flat and the voice of the head mage is hard to understand.

Better than most short book.

The story a bit average at first, but still interesting. The characters are simple but the author acknowledges this, and uses it in the humor. Hoping to listening to the next book soon.

Great but longer story.

I loved the book but it was just to short. Please make the next one at lease 2 times longer at a minimum please.

Love the story

Most the books that I’ve listened on Audible are either really good or crap. This book is somewhere in between but leaning more to the good side. The only real issue I have with the book is the narrator. Most of the characters he does really good but to him particular really pisses me off. With one he uses a French accent that you cannot hear or understand and the other has the worst sounding voice that you can imagine. On the plus side I love how he betrays the king and the main character. The book as a whole I loved and I can’t wait to listen to the next one.

It’s okay

I kind of like it, but the whole story is so cringe from the fact that he supposedly doesn’t know that he is just as powerful as everyone else, or that he can cast his summons magic faster than anybody. the fact that he can't perceive other praise of him is annoying also.

Too Short, need a second book

There really isn't anything wrong with it. It isn't cliched or too slow in pace, it isn't unnecessarily violent or sexual, it doesn't push any moral values nor eschew any, nor does it seem to be a mary sue for getting back at any specific type of person the author has a chip for. The narrator isn't too slow or narrow in their characterisation, nor too fast, grand, distracting or wacky. There is literally NOTHING wrong with this book and everything to enjoy about it. This is the Goldie-locks bowl of books... it's just not long enough...
