Good story Great Narration

I have read quite a few lesbian romance books but this one is now my favorite. A theme thats a little diff, moves at a good pace and a wonderful narration. There is a lot of nicely described sexual scenes that may make you feel the moment without being so explicit that its a turnoff. The ending made me feel very warm and happy. This is the first book i listened to by Harper Bliss And i love her style as well as such a nice easy narration by Carman Rose. I dont see how anyone could find fault with this book.

I enjoyed it!

I loved the storyline and found it delightfully daring to have the daughter and the mother's friend fall for each other. Although the two appear to lack build-up of their initial feelings toward one another, I found the build-up to be strong in the actual coming together and expediting all that followed. I want to say I think the narrator's style was unique and I truly enjoyed listening to her, but I admit I felt I was getting a play-by-play of the story and it at times kept me from getting engrossed in the characters the way that I wanted to. I really don't like critiquing narrators because they make their performance seem so simple when in actuality it's quite difficult, and I value their ability to do so. Carmen Rose has a magnificent voice that I enjoy very much, I'm not sure her cadence worked for this particular story. I'd not hesitate to listen to her again, however. Harper Bliss...well...another enjoyable creation.

Another Age-Gap Classic

Gloria is a widower with two college aged daughters and quite content with her life. At her friend Mary’s retirement party she is seated at the singles table next to Mary’s recently divorced daughter Ash Cooper. When Ashley ages her to dance she feels a tingling that lights her up. Falling in love was never in their sights but the heart wants what the heart wants. Erotic romance. Recommend.

Love this book!!! ❤️

A beautiful love story, with memorable chartered. Ash is so vulnerable and strong...can’t help but be engrossed with her. Then Gloria who has endured life’s treacherous curveballs. She is smart, sassy and intriguing. Together they have undeniable chemistry. I kinda want to live in their town!!! The supportive characters were immaculate and well thought out. Thank you Harper Bliss!!! Very well narrated Carmen Rose 🌹 P.S. I’m in love with Celine Dion as well

Well done

I thought I would have a slight adjustment period to the accent, but I honestly don’t know what I could have been thinking. I’m always a fan of stories about age gaps as I’m someone that has always dated much older than myself.

I don’t know anyone who speaks like this narrator!

Not a fan of the narrator’s voice at all, unfortunate as the book/story itself is fabulous and probably my favourite HB book. The Queen barely talks this level of hoity-toity Carmen Rose puts on. Love Harper’s books and these characters feel completely out of step with the voice of the narrator. Gabrielle Baker who has narrated for British characters in Harper’s Books would’ve suited better I feel. Spoiled really by the brilliance and nuance that Angela Dawe & Abby Craden bring to characters, sadly lacking here for the enigmatic Ash & Gloria.
