love the male narrator

The story was good and U am a fan of Jakobi Diem which is why I finished the book despite the female narrator. Her tone was too hard and lacked emotion.

YOU RUINED IT

The book had a chance with just one narrator, you added the female and everything can tumbling down. Mr. Diem can narrate direction for taking cold medicine and I'm in love, This match was no a good one. NO MORE TALK!!!!! The performance rating was for Mr. Diem.

Love Jakobi Diem

Great story. Jakobi's voice truly saved the day with the narration. The woman narrator was a step above awful and quite difficult to listen to. I found myself relieved every time narration switched back to him. I would recommend.

I don’t give reviews but…

So look, I gave this book a chance because the author and I have the same first name (spelled differently) and because I love to listen to Jakobi, but I had THEE MOST difficult time listening to the woman narrator. Not sure if she was told to be extremely dry and to portray the men as being “slow” but it seriously was a huge S T R U G G L E to listen to her. The storyline was ok but baby girl DID NOT do the book nor the characters justice. I’m not saying she needs to throw in the towel just yet, but she most definitely needs some training/assistance. This was a rough listen.

It’s the Female lead

I couldn’t finish the book because (no disrespect to the female lead) the female leads portrayals of the different characters when she changed her voice were forced. It was hard to focus on what she was saying. I will read the book. Jakobi Diem is amazing in this book.

Nothing

I don’t know if it was the British accent trying to speak English or what, but I DID NOT like this listen.

Great read, do not focus an the female narrator!

Absolutely loved it. Okay, as you've read in other reviews the female narrator wasn't good with her male impressions. In fact, they were horrible, however her character was okay. The storyline was amazing and kept me wishing and hoping. You must see beyond the female voice and pull on your creative side to see how romantic this book is. The 5 performance stars are for Mr. Diem.... he's always so satisfying!

The story was great

I liked the story. Jakobi made the story flow and made it not seem like he was reading word for word. The female reader just threw the story off for me. She sounded robotic kind of and like she was reading the story for the first time.

Jakobson Diem saves the day !

The overall story was good and basic love story about the hidden Mrs. of love, emotions, truths, and truth, hatchers, etc. entertaining the narration by the female was horrific it just was not good. Jakobi was excellent as usual, and does a great job and the variations of narration that he hast to do from female male to young child and other characters, choose the other narrators that work alongside of him more carefully he don't want to start messing up the stories and losing customers, tolerated this one because of JD

the female’s voice change was what ruined it for me

ngl it started off a lil boring to me but when it got to the bathtub scene after there lil impromptu night out it started getting more interesting. ofc the female narrator’s “american accent” was terrible and jacobi diem can do no wrong in my eyes so i won’t even comment on his british accent. not my favorite story but it wasn’t bad compared to some i’ve read before lol. but the female ruined the story imo
